Fridaze 024

How can it almost be March already?! It means that Spring is right around the corner, which I cannot wait for. We've had a few hints of nice weather, which has been bittersweet. I honestly just want the sun to be out, and for the weather to stay nice!

Well let's chat how my week went. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and let's talk about this Fridaze.

Valentine's Day

I will start by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day. I just feel like it doesn't have to be this big spectacle. The idea of spending the day with your loved one (regardless of whether is romantic, or not) is nice, but people put so much pressure on the holiday! That being said, J said he was going to cook for me, so after work, I got ready and drove to his!

I had never had someone put so much effort into showing me they care, and I felt beyond special. On top of that, the food was delicious!

I will say that this was the best Valentine's Day I ever had.

Movies

J wanted to go to the movies to watch the Jackass movie. I have personally never seen any of the movies (even though I did watch the show growing up at my cousin's house).

We went to one of those nice movie theaters with the recliners, and the movie was actually really funny. It's actually the first time I've gone to the movies since Covid started, so it felt kind of nice to be back. I actually want to go back to the movies now (and luckily there are a few really good movies coming out soon)!

First Weekend Away with J

Now this is a major milestone. Me & J took our first weekend trip together. We were originally planning on going to the Poconos. Since we decided to take a trip together so spontaneously, there weren't very many appealing options available at a good price. Instead, we decided to go to an Upstate NY town instead!

We honestly had the best time together. I don't know how it's possible, but I actually like him even more after our trip.

I was definitely a little nervous, because this was our first trip together. I wanted everything to go well, and even though things didn't go exactly as planned, it still was a huge success!

He already asked when we're going to take our next weekend away. Guess it went well for him too!

Shows/Movies I’ve Watched This Week:

  • Love is Blind Season 2 Episodes 1-3 [Netflix]
  • Tinder Swindler [Netflix]
  • Community Season 2 Episodes 5-15 [Netflix]

Books I’ve Been Reading This Week:

  • Anything You Do Say by Gillian McAllister
  • The One by John Marrs

So that was my week in a nutshell! I finally finished a book, and seem to have found my reading groove a bit more. I feel like I used to have so much time to just breeze through books, and that's not the case anymore! Now I can barely find the time. How was your week? Let me know in the comments down below! As always, I hope you have a wonderful night/day. Sending you all strength, love, and positivity xx

Yes, I'm so glad it went so well, I can't wait til we take our next trip together! Hm, I feel like the first season had that you don't know what to expect cause you've never seen the show before, but this one had a lot more drama. Which one did you like better?

You know what? I didn't actually get a regular card, but I did write a nice hand written letter. I always value people who take the time to do thoughtful things. Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂 x
