Fridaze 068

Happy Fridaze! I'm sorry for being so absent these past few weeks. Not only have I been really busy in my personal life, but I've also been injured! I did mention it in a past Fridaze, that I was hoping I would feel better quickly. Unfortunately, the wrist injury got worse and when I went to the arm specialist they told me I tore a ligament in my wrist.

Originally I was using this bulky arm brace, which made my wrist feel better but didn't allow me to use the arm much (which is difficult when I'm left handed, and the injury is on my left wrist). The specialist told me to buy a different brace that is meant for this type of injury. It's great! It's a lot less invasive and allows me to write and type much more comfortably now. If you've been following me for a while, you know when it's been a while since we've chatted, I do like to do a major update of all the things that's been going on. Let's hop into it!

Erika's Birthday Celebrations

Me and my friends are all turning 30 this year! To celebrate Erika's birthday, she made a reservation for brunch. It's so nice to see some people during her birthday every year. The food was delicious and I had a really good time.

Then my gift to her was to take her to a pottery painting class. So me, her and one of our other friends went! Our things all came out super cute. Then afterwards, we went to a nearby sushi spot. Overall a really great week celebrating one of my best friends!

Emo Night on the Glinda Bus

Another one of my close friends invited me to New York for an Emo Night on the Glinda Bus. It's this wacky bus that you can take a ride all over the city while listening to music and drinking. I didn't know exactly what to expect when I signed up, but I ended up having a great time! I met so many cool new people, and sung to all of my favorites while I was in high school. Would 100% recommend and do it again.

Best Friend Duties

The past month has been very difficult for one of my best friends, and so most of my extra spare time had gone towards supporting her. It's been challenging, but I also feel very lucky that I have been able to be there for her during this time.

Jen

While I love group hang outs, there's always something so special about solo friend hang outs. I saw her the week prior for Erika's Birthday, but then she came over my apartment! She had never been, so it was nice to show her my new home. Time always flies when we hang out together, catching up on everything and anything!

Patty's House

A few days after hanging out with Jen, I went to Patty's house hung out with the rest of that girl group. It's been a very long time, since I've seen all of them at the same time, and it was nice! I really missed them all, so I felt extremely blessed to have had the chance to hang out with the 4 of them.

42nd Street

My cousin is part of a performing arts high school, and this year they did the show 42nd Street! My high school did it one year while I was there, but I honestly didn't remember the plot or the music that much. It was honestly an amazing show, and I can't wait to see her next one!

Parents Meet Up

After two years of me and J dating, our parents finally met. My mom really wanted us to host and have everyone over. But we did not want that so we went to a restaurant we have always had a good experience. I speak more about it in April's newsletter (hint, hint, if you're not subscribed, you should!), but it went really well. Already thinking of other get together that will be happening throughout the rest of the year.

lil things:

  • Loving the new brace I'm wearing for my wrist. Super comfortable for daily use! I only take it off to shower.
  • The new Stardew update has so many fun extras. I started a new file, and it's been so fun discovering all the new content.
