Fridaze 065

Happy Fridaze! After not posting for two months (not posting Fridaze), I'm back. It's a bit of a long one, but I tried to keep it short and sweet.

First Hockey Game of the Season

Me and J started our year by going to a Devil's hockey game. The seats were really great (I usually make it a point to buy some tickets during Black Friday weekend)! Unfortunately the Devil's didn't win the game, but it was an exciting one! They had a pretty good comeback at some point, but still lost in the end. We have another game next week, so I'm excited for that.

Erika

In early January, I met up with Erika. It was pouring rain, which was the perfect excuse to get some Ramen. We looked up a place online to try out, and I found out that I had tried this restaurant at a different location they own! I think I had a better experience this time around. We had a nice time chatting and catching up with life, as we always do.

Terrible Flu

J went traveling and I got a terrible Flu! I have never gotten the flu before, but it was horrible. I felt so sick. Then I would start to feel better, but I would get hit with another wave of feeling sick. I think I lasted about 5 days of feeling sick. Luckily I started feeling sick on a Friday, so I didn't miss too many days of work.

Dad's Birthday

My dad's birthday was in January, and we all met up this restaurant. It was Me, my sister, her boyfriend, my brother, my parents, and my cousins. J's trip got extended, so he wasn't able to come and celebrate this year. The food was pretty good, I got a delicious french onion soup. I also enjoyed all the appetizers we got.

2 Year Anniversary

Me and J celebrated our 2 year anniversary! I might say this all the time, but times really flies! I remember when I wrote about our anniversary last year. It doesn't feel like a whole year has passed. We went to a David Burke restaurant, Orchard Park. You know what? I wasn't wow-ed. It was expensive, and the food was just...okay. While the salad and And while I love a good cocktail, all of them seemed very creamy and dessert-like. I ended up with a glass of wine instead. Not only would I not recommend it, but I would not go back.

It sucks to have a bit of a disappointing meal for a celebration, but we made the best of it!

Dave & Busters

It was J's nephew's birthday, so we went to D&B. I hadn't gone is so long, but it was so crowded that day. I typically go this location in NY that's less crowded. He seemed to love our gift, which was exciting.

Amanda

At the end of January, Amanda came over and hung out with me and J. I made some pollo guisado, which came out delicious, if I do say so myself. I love when the three of us hang out, and that she likes to hang out with my boyfriend. It's always nice to just chat and chill together.

Couples Dinner!

In early February, Me and J hung out with his friend and his wife. We love hanging out with them. They invited us to dinner to this spot, Washington House, where they have specials on oysters throughout the week. I had a great meal! I had a french onion soup, a whole bunch of oysters, and a crab cake entree. Everything came out delicious, and I highly recommend it if you're in the area!

Atlantic City 2024

I went to Atlantic City again on the first weekend of February. My parents got all the kids and their significant others tickets to go see Tom Segura. He was super funny, I had a great time. We ate at one of the nicer restaurants in the hotel, Kuro. While it was really pricey, I liked all the food I had. I love having a delicious eating experience.

Then we ended up gambling a little bit, and I broke even! Me, J, and my brother stayed up til almost 2am just playing, hanging out, and then grabbing a late-night bite to eat!

Overall, we all had a great time (maybe except for J since he lost a little bit of money while playing). I always have a good time when I go to Atlantic City.

Bowling

The following weekend, Me and J went to play bowling with Erika and her boyfriend. Even though I have heard tons about him, I had never met him. So the 4 of us officially all hung out. And I really like him. His energy, vibe, and personality are super cool, and I think they make a great couple together!

I look forward to planning more hangouts in the future!

Liana

Then Yesterday, Liana came over! She had never seen my apartment, so she came over and we ordered some Indian food. There's this one place that does amazing Indian takeout. Then we just chatted and caught up with each other. We honestly lost track of time just chatting, she stayed over til like 10! Neither of us looked at the time until I yawned at one point.

I'm planning to see her at least once this month, so that's nice!
