Fridaze 066

Happy Fridaze! I've been doing these later and later in the day every week, but at least I've posted for the past two weeks? This week has gone by so quickly, but I could honestly not be more glad that it's Friday. I've had a few nights staying up way too late for Love is Blind, and other nights staying up too late reading Daisy Haites by Jenna Hastings or going through the Tandem Read by SJM. Then last night, J came home super late from traveling, and woke me up. Unfortunately I didn't fall back into a deep sleep after that.

Even if it's completely my own fault that I'm so tired, I'm still ready to sleep in a bit these next couple of days. Let's jump into it!

Weather's starting to warm up

This past week has been really nice, because we started to get some warm and sunny weather! Because of that I've been able to take Luca on some long walks, and just sit in the grass for a bit. I feel so re-energized already. Even though we're expected to get a bit of rain this weekend, next week is supposed to go into the mid 50s to low 60s (10-15°C). What a mood booster!

Dinner with Amanda

I've still stuck to my trying to keep in touch with my friends once a week, and this week I went to dinner with Amanda. It's always nice to get out of the house and catch up with a friend. Even though we tend to text/face time pretty often, nothing beats some in person time. As always, my cup always feels a bit more filled after we hang out.

J is back for at least a little while

You guys may have noticed that J's been traveling a lot for work! It's been pretty non-stop since November. Finally he told his boss this week that he needs a bit of a break from traveling. Which is good, because that means I'll have him for at least a few weeks without worrying about them sending him off somewhere.

12/3/30

You may have seen this trend on Tiktok, but if you haven't it's a treadmill routine that involves you going on the highest incline your treadmill allows (mine is 10, even though the girl who invented it had an incline of 12), at 3 miles per hour for 30 minutes. We actually have a treadmill at work, so I thought I would attempt this during my lunch break. I initially though I was going to be able to jump right into doing the full 30 minutes. Boy I was wrong! It was actually really difficult. Running at no incline is infinitely easier than running at a steep incline. I started of doing 10 minutes a day and adding in some yoga. Then 15 minutes, and I'm finally up to 20 minutes! It's definitely getting easier, and I think it'll be a good way to incorporate movement in the middle of my day. Highly recommend checking it out! (This is coming from a girl who usually despises the treadmill)

lil things:

  • Texting all my friends of their reactions while watching Love is Blind. There's something fun about a reality tv texting thread.

I feel the opposite about the warmer weather. I'm going to miss the cold wearing my layers, no bugs, and the return of my allergies! My dog also loves the cold so I know she will miss it once Spring arrives.

I love my treadmill! I try to walk 45 minutes a day, I prop my iPad up so instead of sitting on the couch/sitting and watching something on TV I get in my cardio, it's been a game changer! I don't follow that treadmill routine but I up the incline every 5 minutes. ♥

I've never been much of a runner, but I've been really enjoying using it lately! I've also been doing workouts while watching tv or reading a book. It makes the time pass much quicker, and overall makes the experience more enjoyable. Hope you're well 🙂 xx
