Fridaze 011

It's been about 3 weeks since I've done a Fridaze, and so this is going to be almost like a monthly recap! It's been a whirlwind of stress and other events. I've been a lot more overwhelmed, and so I kind of had to disappear for a lil bit. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and let's chat for a bit!

best friend had her baby!

Let's start with the most exciting news! One of my best friends, Patty, had her baby. She's my first close friend to have a baby, so it's just been super fun to buy her clothes, and just spend time watching her in awe. She's honestly such a good baby, and she looks super cute too!

I can't wait to watch her grow up and just spoil her rotten.

Catching up with my Bride-to-be

Within the same week, I caught up with another one of my friends. Jamie got engaged sometime in the summer, and this was the first time I've gotten the chance to catch up with her! It was super exciting to hear about her plans for the wedding. She has her wedding in a year and a half, and I'm already trying to figure out who's going to be my +1 and what I want to wear to the event!

I'm honestly beyond happy for her. Her fiancee, Joe, is honestly such a good match for her, so I can't wait for them to tie the knot! I know it's going to be a beautiful wedding.

Second Date things

So earlier this month, I mentioned that I went on a first date! You can read a bit about it here. Well after chatting for a bit more, we went out on a second date. We ended up going out to dinner, and it was nice to sit down and chat more. He's honestly not the best texter, so the best way to get to know him is by seeing him in person.

I could tell that he was a bit more comfortable around me, which was nice. We were a lot more joke-y towards each other.

The only downside to the date? His friends ended up showing up to the same restaurant as us! While he didn't tell them to come, he told them where he was going to be, and they ended up sitting about 4 tables away. It was a little uncomfortable for me, mainly because I felt like I was being stared at and judged from a distance.

While they didn't approach me or anything, I still wish they didn't show up.

Overall, I still had a really good time getting to know him, and look forward to (hopefully) more dates in the future!

Getting a New Car

I mentioned in my last Fridaze, that with the hurricane that passed by, my car ended up getting flooded. I was able to get rid of the water from my car. The car had to be aired for 2 weeks straight so it didn't smell, but the insurance company didn't want me driving a car that was filled with so much water! They were worried that in a few months down the line, something would go wrong with my car, so they decided to consider the car a total loss.

It's a super bittersweet moment. While I'm excited to be getting a new car, I'm also really sad to be getting rid of my old car. I'm so weirdly attached to my old car. I know it was only a Honda Civic, but it was still my first major purchase, and it's been nothing but reliable throughout the last 7 1/2 years.

Stay tuned for me to share what car I'm getting!

Switched over to a new Bullet Journal

While I didn't mention this in the past Fridaze, I started a new bullet journal in the month of September! I ended up trying a new notebook, and got a Papier one. I love the different designs the notebook comes in. While I like the notebooks itself, I feel like the pages are a bit thing, and even my Muji gel pens bleed.

I think after I finish the two notebooks I got, I'll try a different brand out!

I think I'm going to make a dedicated review on Papier notebooks. If you interested in this let me know.

Crazy Car Accident

I made a dedicated post about this, and I still don't have the words to express how grateful I feel. My family is all fine and good, and I don't think there's anything else to add on the subject. If you do want to check out that post, you can here!

Went out Back to back

Me and my friend, Erika, both got stood up by our dates, and we decided to just go out! We ended up having an amazing time, and decided to go out the following day. I honestly don't remember I went to the club back to back. It was probably sometime when I was in college? Or maybe it was for a Halloween weekend (aka the best holiday ever).

Regardless, while I don't do it as often anymore, I still had an amazing weekend with my best friend!

Normally I wouldn't have as much to share with you all, but it's been a super busy month, and I'm so ready to leave September behind, and move onto October! I hope you have been having a better end to the Summer and start to the Fall. Sending you all love, strength, and positivity xxx
