Marc Jacobs Setting Spray: Worth the Hype?

Hey guys! How have you been doing? It's been a few weeks since I've done a beauty post, and the time has finally come!

So Marc Jacobs has been killing it recently with some of their products. I had just finished my Urban Decay Setting Spray, which I love, and decided to try something new.

If you're looking for something full proof, definitely look into the Urban Decay Setting Spray! Both of the ones they sell work amazingly!

Now onto the actual review of the Marc Jacobs Re(cover) Perfecting Coconut Setting Mist. The price of this product is $39, which is more expensive than the Urban Decay one. The Urban Decay one sells for $32. Another thing I want to mention before I get into the actual review is the fact that the Marc Jacobs setting spray comes with less product (3.9 oz) compared to the Urban Decay one (4 oz). Enough of the comparisons, let's get to the real review on the product!

Now as I mentioned before, the Marc Jacobs setting mist costs $39, which is kinda pricey, but you have to take into consideration that when you buy from a brand like Marc Jacobs, you're buying a luxury item, and partially paying for the brand name.

The packaging is pretty luxurious, which you can see from the images. It comes in this clear bottle. The cap is this pretty white rounded top, with a silver band around the bottom. It looks extremely sleek. So I have to say that I like the look a lot.

When using the product, you can really tell the difference between this and the Urban Decay setting spray. Firstly, this has an amazing smell. It smells just like coconut. It does contain coconut in the product, which is meant for hydration. Make sure you shake the product well and press the nozzle all the way down, because if not it won't spray like a mist.

The first few times I used this product, I had a little bit of trouble, because I was trying out so many products at the same time, so I didn't know if I was having difficulty because of the oils in the product or because of the change in foundation.

The first thing I will say, is that this product is NOT for people with oily skin. The oils in the product will probably make your makeup and face even more oily. I like this product, but I'm not completely sure that I like it more than the Urban Decay one. If I'm being completely honest, I probably will not be repurchasing this product and will probably try out the Mac Fix F+ next. I want to try all the contenders for the top setting sprays. If I am missing any of them, let me know, and I'll add it to my line up of make up to try out. As of now, I am telling you guys to invest in the Urban Decay setting spray, it is honestly amazing, especially for all face types.

I hope I saved you guys from making an expensive purchase that I don't feel is worth it! I mean maybe it'll work better for you, but this is totally my opinion on it. Have a wonderful day/night! Sending you all positivity and love!

The packaging looks so nice and the fact it smells of coconut is usually enough to win me over. I really want to try the UD ones though!

This is a really good review. I love the Urban Decay setting spray - it is almost a cult classic and I think with that you get exactly what you want - it really does help keep makeup on. The Marc Jacobs one sounds nice - I love the smell of coconut, but as a more oilier person, I would go by your recommendation and not purchase. xxx

It sounds like a good product, I love coconut scents and oils aren't a problem for me, but if you think the urban decay spray is better I would pick that one up instead. I've heard much more about the Urban decay setting spray, and it's clearly a better value than the Marc Jacobs! Thanks for another great review! ?
