i took an unexpected break, but I'm back.

Has it really been almost 3 weeks since I've made a post? It sure doesn't feel like that long. My life has been going a mile a minute, and I finally have the chance to focus on myself and breathe.

I wasn't expecting to stop writing posts, it kind of just happened from events happening in my life. I'm sure you guys understand with everything that's going on in the world right now. I might be writing about returning, but some of you may have not even noticed that I left!

I do hope that some of you missed me, because while I was gone, I was thinking about and missing some of you!

Before I stopped writing, I made an "update in my life" post. My mom wasn't feeling well for about a week or so, and I had randomly come down with a terrible migraine. I have always struggled with migraines, so it didn't strike me as odd, until it started getting more intense.

One day I woke up, and could barely open my eyes without extreme pain. I decided to take some time off of work, just in case. With everything that was going on in the world, I just didn't want to be reckless.

My mom still wasn't feeling well about 3 weeks in, and got tested for COVID-19. She got her results, and tested positive.

I was already feeling better at that point, but I now know that I probably had the Coronavirus. It's kind of scary thinking about all the people from all ages who have died from this disease, and I was a survivor of it.

I wasn't the only one in the household who came down with symptoms. My sister and my father also started to not feel well shortly after I was feeling better.

For those of you that don't know, me and my family all run a family business. My mom had not been working for about 3 weeks at this point, but to have my dad and my sister sick at the same time. It's been stressful trying to run a business by yourself. Especially when you're dealing with the quarantine, and the shortage of meat that's been happening in the US.

When I wasn't working, I came home exhausted, not wanting to do anything more than play Animal Crossing on my Switch and watch some One Piece.

At this point, all of my family members are feeling fine and are back at work, which is a godsend. I'm extremely grateful to say that everyone is okay. It also means that I can take a step back from the business and give myself so "me time".

I've prioritized working out again, which feels amazing. I'm also back! We're going back to our regularly scheduled bi-weekly blog posts.

I hope you've all been doing great. I know that this quarantine has definitely not been amazing for my mental health, so I can imagine how it's been affecting others. I also hope that you're all staying safe and are healthy. Let me know how you've all been doing!
