dear diary 010 [my break, Coronavirus, London, & Animal Crossing]

dear diary,

So you haven't heard from me in almost a month. It honestly doesn't feel that long. In the same breath, I would say it's been a while.

This month has been crazy. I was in charge at work the first week of March, and flew to London for vacation the week afterwards. I come back to the US, and things are crazier than ever. People are rampant with fear, with good cause. It's weird to come back while everyone's in a state of panic.

When I was in London, everything was pretty much...fine? The only noticeable difference was that there was no hand sanitizer or soap in some stores. Other than that, it seemed that everyone was living their lives normally. It was weird coming back and seeing everyone freaking out.

Since I work in the food industry, I've still been working, and last week was beyond hectic. Everyone buying all of our stock.

The main reason it's taken so long for me to come back, is because last week while I was working, I was also getting hit with really bad jetlag! I would come home from work so exhausted, and since we were leaving later than usual, the last thing I wanted to do was come up with something to write about!

But I'm back!

I really haven't been up to much since coming back from my trip. Work then come home. Every day.

tv, books, & animal crossing

While I've been home I've been catching up on TV shows! Currently watching Hannibal, and it's so good, definitely recommend.

Last Friday, Animal Crossing New Horizons came out, and it could not have come out at a better time! It's all I've been playing. Well that and the one for the 3DS! Me & my brother also paid for a month of Wizard 101, which is a game we always go back to when we're bored and have an excessive amount of time on our hands.

In terms of reading, I'm super ahead of my GoodReads Challenge! Being 3 books ahead of schedule really takes the pressure off. I was wondering how I was going to reach 80 books by the end of the year, but I'm not as worried now.

Definitely expect a book club post coming soon!

how do i feel?

Since the weather's still warm, being home hasn't really bothered me much. A lot of it has to do with the fact that I'm still working. I might feel a bit differently if I've been home for the past two weeks without being able to leave the house once.

The only thing that I've struggled with a bit is that I'm running out of junk food. I'm someone who loves to snack. The more I'm home, the more I do so. So it's been terrible getting these cravings for salty snacks, and not having any.

I've finally started working out again after not doing so for a whole month. It definitely was tough getting back on the bike, but I'm glad I did.

Thank god, no one in my family or friend group has been affected by the Coronavirus, in terms of being sick. How have you been dealing with the Coronavirus?

Let me know how you have all been doing. What have you done to keep yourself busy at home? Hope you all stay safe!

The world is crazy! I'm glad you and your family are safe. Grocery shopping is absolutely insane, I wasn't able to find instant noodles in stores from the start of March until two days ago. It was a hallelujah moment for me haha.
Books & video games are great distractions right now!

I had such a great time I was there! I honesty loved it more than Paris believe it or not! London was definitely my kind of city. I would move there if it wasn't for the fact that it gets rarely any sun! I'm so glad you love animal crossing too! I hope you're staying safe and healthy during your quarantine ! I had such an amazing time in London, literally it felt like my spirit city (well with the exception of no sun, aha)! If London was warmer and less gloomy, I would consider moving there! I hope you, your friends and family are all staying safe! Take care of yourself during this hectic moment in time 🙂 xx

I honestly cannot believe my luck! London was amazing, and coming back to this crazy chaos was...there are honesty no words, aha! It wasn't hard getting back into the country, mainly cause EWR is the a main hub for United, but I still didn't expect it to get so crazy while I was gone for that week! Since then I've been stuck in my home, itching for the moment for this to all pass. I hope you and your friend & family are all staying safe as well 🙂 At least you have candy to keep you company at home! Thanks for reading and commenting! If I don't speak to you before easter, I hope you have a great easter weekend (well as good as it can be while in quarantine) xx

London was beyond amazing, and pretty normal if I do say so myself? I was surprised to see so many people running around and acting normal, while I was hearing about all the chaos happening in the US!
Luckily I've been fine so far, totally sanitizing myself and my surroundings at all times. Such a crazy time right now! Hope you and your family are staying safe. Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂 x
