Favorite Nail Polishes of 2022!

Hey guys, how are you all doing. I’m back with another yearly favorites post. Today I’m going to talk about my favorite nail polishes of 2022. Now they aren’t necessarily the nail polishes that were released within the year of 2022. These are the nail polishes I loved and used the most throughout the year.

I don’t talk about it enough, but I try to paint my nails once a week. Not only is it very therapeutic, but I also find it fun to switch up the color once a week. I typically use regular polish, except when I’m going on vacation. When I go on vacation, I like to do gel polish. Last Christmas, my sister’s boyfriend, Martin, got me some gel polishes and a gel lamp!

Even though I only use the gel polishes about 3-4 times a year, it’s super fun and convenient to have.

Enough chit chat, let’s talk about my favorite polishes!

Lights Lacquer Jefa

This may be my favorite nail polish for the past 2 years. In 2022, I actually used Jefe so much that I had to repurchase another bottle! It’s this beautiful light green shade. I think it looks so flatter on my hands. And the formula itself for Kathleen Lights’ nail polish brand, Lights Lacquer, is really good! You can still get the polish, here.

O.P.I Rated Pea-G

While on the hunt for a jade green, I found this polish by O.P.I.! I think greens look really good on my hands, and this color was no exception. I like to use this color mainly Spring-Fall. Then, in the Winter I usually give this color a break. It’s gotten a lot of use in 2022! You can check out the polish here.

KL Polish Miami Fever

This color is not in production anymore, but I still use it a lot, and knew I had to mention it. This is a beautiful burnt orange shade. I really like using this shade in the Winter and Fall. This was Kathleen Lights’ old nail polish brand. I do think Lights Lacquer has a slightly better formula, but she hasn’t come out with an exact dupe yet.

O.P.I Chocolate Moose

While looking for a dupe for Miami Fever, I found this shade. It’s not an exact match, it’s a lot more brown and less orange, but it looks pretty close on my nails! You can check out the polish here.

Expressie don’t hate, curate (120)

I have a slight obsession with mustard yellow, and I wanted a polish I could wear. I had never tried the quick dry polishes by Essie, but I liked this formula! I just put a clear top coat on top, and it lasts the full 5-7 days. You can get the polish here!

Olive & June WKF

Can you tell I have a thing for greens? This is a cool toned mossy green, and it’s everything you could want in a polish. When in doubt, I put on this bad boy (or Jefa). I think the formula for this is a little on the thin side, but it applies beautifully. Again, after adding a top coat, this polish still lasts the average 5-7 days without any chipping. You can get that polish here!

I normally add two coats of the polish, and then I add a clear top coat for added longevity. I’ve been really liking the Lights Lacquer Glossy Top Coat “So Over it”. It dries really quickly, and really allows my mani to last the full week!

Other 2022 Favorites Posts:

For my other mani lovers, what polishes have you been loving? Are there any tools/accessories I should add to my mani collection, so I can up my nail polish game? I’ve been thinking of getting cute stickers to add to my nails!

These are some really pretty shades. I used to buy nail varnish all the time. But since getting my nails gelled I gave all of mine to my mum and my littlest sister. Thank you for sharing your picks!

I love using gel on my nails when I go on vacation, so it lasts the whole time, but most of the time I just stick to regular polish. Thanks so much for reading 🙂 xx

What great choices! I love Olive and June nail polish - especially their nail care products! The brown shades are definitely more my style, especially that OPI one. But now you got me thinking about green. 😉

I'm planning on painting my nails a true brown today, so I am definitely all about the tans/browns too. What is your favorite polish shade? I have never tried any of the nail care from Olive and June, so I'm going to definitely check them out! Thanks for reading 🙂
