Fridaze 045

I did warn you guys I was going to have a busy few weeks! I still haven't had the chance to finish my favorite books of 2022 so far. I think I have two more posts full of books left, but I'll probably get to it after I move in with J (which is this weekend!).

Then I'll have more time to chat and catch up with you all. But let's get into this week's Fridaze!

Chris' Birthday

One of J's best friend has a yearly birthday party at his house. Last year, I was honestly dreading this event. It was my first time meeting most of his close friends, and it was very overwhelming. I stuck to him like glue the entire time, and just felt uncomfortable.

This time around, I felt much more comfortable. I have to say that I truly enjoyed myself! I didn't feel the need to be by his side the whole time. It was fun to catch up with some of them, and play games! I genuinely had such a good time. It's kinda funny how much of a difference a year can make.

Gloria Estefan Show

This was completely random, I woke up to a text from Amanda. She asked me if I wanted to see a local play based on Gloria Estefan's life. I had such a good time. We hadn't had the time to catch up, so it was nice we got to do that without really planning it out.

The show was actually super fun, and as expected I added a whole bunch of Gloria Estefan's playlist.

Rehearsal Dinner

The last week was wedding week! That Wednesday, we went to the church to rehearse the wedding ceremony. Then we went to this delicious Italian spot. It was a long day, considering I had to work all day, and drive up. On top of that, I was stuck in horrendous traffic!

The most important thing though, was that Jamie seemed so happy.

Jamie's Wedding

And then wedding day was on Friday. I slept over Jamie's house the night before with her and her sister. We all woke up early with a bundle of nerves. We were up early, and then were headed off to get our hair and makeup professionally done.

Then we were off to the church! Everything went seamlessly, which I was grateful for. There were a lot of pictures, that I can't wait to see.

Overall, the wedding turned out beautifully, Jamie had a great time, and I wish the two of them nothing but happiness.

Tricky Tray with J's Family

Yesterday, I went to a tricky tray with J's mom and sister. A tricky tray is a raffling event, where there are prizes and you pay for a chance to win what's in the basket. I ended up winning two baskets, which was super fun. I won an outdoor pizza maker, and a free night's stay at a hotel chain.

Overall a super successful night!

Starting Accepting Guest Posts

This biggest change that's happened is that I'm now accepting some guest posts. I was doing them a few years ago (pre-covid), but then stopped accepting them. I started doing them again, and it's kind of nice to have some content to post, even when I haven't had the time to write anything up myself.

If you have a blog, what are your thoughts on guest posts?

Beautiful photos! It's so nice when you finally feel comfortable around your partner's friends - I was the same with wanting to stick by my boyfriend when I was introduced to people. And congrats on your prizes! I would love to participate in a Tricky Tray but haven't seen any near me. xx

Thank you! Definitely keep an eye out, over here, it’s typically something school moms do to raise money for the schools! Hope you’re doing well xx
