Fridaze 044

I'm pretty proud, that for the first time of saying I'm going to try to be consistent, I've actually kept up blogging pretty well. I've been enjoying it a lot more recently as well. Just chatting about my life and books. Honestly some of my favorite things to talk about aha.

I've also really enjoyed chatting with my blogging friends again (you know who you are). I think the fact that I've just been writing whatever I felt like it, verses feeling forced to push out content for the sake of it has been nice. Let's chat about how my past two weeks have been, so grab a cup of coffee or tea (maybe some iced tea?) and get into this week's Fridaze

Ramen

I had some delicious ramen a few weeks ago with J. We ate with our eyes, and ended up bringing some home, but you know what? I don't know why, but ramen seems to taste better the second day. I think it may be because it's been marinating for longer.

I ended up having black garlic pork ramen for two days, and it was so so good. (Also, can we talk about the fact that all of my pictures in the past two weeks are either pictures of Luca or food pictures).

Finished Hogwarts Legacies

After binging this game for about a month, I finally finished Hogwarts Legacies. This game was almost everything I wanted an more. The main plotline wasn't the most interesting, but I loved the world they had built. It was large, with lots of different creatures and fun characters.

There were a few side plotlines that I LOVED (hello, the whole Sebastian side plot). I hope they decide to do an additional DLC sometime down the line. I feel like they could continue to add features to the game if they really wanted to.

They did such a good job with this game, and I'm really impressed. While it's a lil' glitchy, it's no where near as bad as Pokémon Scarlet. If you don't want to support JK Rowling, but want to try the game, I would suggest getting a used copy at GameStop!

Started Playing Sims 4

After finishing Hogwarts Legacies, I honestly didn't know what to do with my life. My sister told me she was playing the Sims 4. That was one of our favorite games growing up, so I decided to get it on Steam! If you didn't know the base Sims 4 game is actually free on all consoles at the moment. Therefore, you would only have to pay for expansion packs if you like the game!

I've been playing for 2 weeks now, and I have so many hours played in the game. It's honestly a little embarrassing. I highly recommend trying the game out if you like simulation games! Especially since it's free now.

Picked up my Bridesmaid dress

My best friend is getting married next week, and I'm part of her bridal party! So I sent my dress to the tailors, since I'm so short and needed to get it hemmed. I picked up my dress last week, and it looks perfect! I'm so excited for the wedding. Busy busy few weeks coming up.

Yearly Appointment

While I didn't want to do it, I went for my yearly pap smear. It's always uncomfortable, but my doctor tries to make it as quick as possible. If you haven't gotten one in the past year, this is your reminder to make your appointment now!

Erika

I've mentioned this time and time again, about the fact of making it a point to prioritize my close friendships, and I've done a really good job! I hung out with Erika this week. We went to a delicious Filipino spot local to us. The place opened up recently, and I was so happy to see the place packed, and the food being so delicious. I will definitely be back!

Working on my physical strength

The last final update is the fact that I've changed my workout routine recently. I've always been a cardio girl, mainly because it makes me feel much better mentally. Recently, I've switched to a more balanced workout routine. I've added in some strength training. Added in some weights and started doing pushups! It's been a change, and while I haven't seen a change on the scale, I have noticed small changes in my body already! Do you guys do strength training? What do you recommend I try out?
