Curology Review & Overall Experience (Would I recommend?)

Hey guys! How are you all doing? A few months ago, I introduced something new to my skincare routine, and signed up to a Curology subscription! Today, I'm going to give you a Curology review, and talk to you about my overall experience with the products, and the process as a whole.

What is Curology?

Some of you may be asking, what is Curology? Curology is a customizable skincare serum. You take a quiz, send pictures of your face, talk about what problems you would want fixed, and get connected to a dermatologist!

How much does it cost?

So you can get a 30-day free trial for $4.95 (to cover the shipping and handling). The free trial comes with a moisturizer, cleanser, and a sample of your prescribed serum!

After you finish the 30-day trial, there are multiple packages you can get. The serum by itself costs $39.90, which is supposed to last you two months. Since I only use my serum at night and use other serums during the day, it lasts me about 2 1/2 months.

If you would like to add the cleanser and moisturizer to your plan, it's an added $20 to your plan. Again, this is for a two month supply of both. They also have extra add-ons, such as acne spot patches ($4.96), which comes with 20 patches. The final thing you can add to your package is the acne body wash ($18)

No matter what you end up getting, you get a box every 2 months, with all of your stuff. I've only gotten the serum in my boxes, with the exception of one month where I added a pack of acne spot patches. That means that I pay $39.90, plus tax every two months for my serum. Shipping is included in that price.

My Experience.

I found the quiz to be extremely simple, and asks enough questions, so they get an idea of what your individual needs are. Taking the pictures and uploading them was also extremely easy.

Immediately after filling out your information, they give you skincare recommendations from multiple price points. I really liked this because it shows that they're not only looking to sell you their products. They recommended lots of really inexpensive cleansers (they recommended the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Facial Cleanser for me), Micellar waters (they recommended the Bioderma Hydrabio H2O for me), Moisturizer (they recommended the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Gel for me), & Sunscreens (they recommended the EltaMD UV Clear Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 46 for me).

When I got in contact with my dermatologist, she told me she was going to target different problems. She was going to give me some ingredients in my prescription to help with anti-aging, boosting collagen & reducing wrinkles. She also put an ingredient in there to help me with the redness I have on my face.

My Results.

The trial version came about 1 1/2 weeks after I finished the quiz, uploaded my photos, and talked to a dermatologist (through messaging system). When I initially started using the serum, I was using it with the moisturizer they gave to me (which I really liked). Once I finished the sample of the moisturizer, I switched to using the moisturizer I'm currently using, the Bare Minerals Pureness Soothing Light Moisturizer.

After using the serum for about two weeks, I started to know some peeling around my mouth and above my eyebrows. I stopped using the serum for a little while and messaged my dermatologist. She gave me some suggestions to avoid future peeling, and she ended up tweaking my formula a bit.

I've been officially using my formula for 5-6 months now, and I no longer have any peeling issues. My skin feels extremely healthy and happy! I use the serum every night before bed. I do think that it's reduced the appearance of the redness I have on my face. It has not completely gone away, and my dermatologist told me that I might need a laser treatment as a more permanent solution to my redness.

My skin feels extremely soft, the smile lines around my mouth look a little less deep, and I'm really happy with the results.

Overall.

I have to say I'm pretty impressed. When my sister recommended this brand to me, I thought that this was going to be...a little gimmicky? When I first started using this product, I definitely didn't think highly of it when my skin started peeling. After changing my formula, my skin feels extremely good!

I still have other serums that I add into the mix, but I really love this serum. Originally I thought I was going to cancel my subscription, but I honestly think that I will be using Curology for a while now. I 100% recommend.

My sister uses it for some milia she has on her forehead, and she says it's the only serum that has ever worked for that issue! I also recently found out that my best friend, Jill, uses Curology for her acne, and she says that she has never tried a product that works as well as the formula they have made for her!

I honestly think that if you're curious, you should take advantage of the $4.95 30-day trial! You honestly have nothing to lose, and who knows, you might find a new product that completely changes your skincare routine.

So that was my Curology review and overall experience! Do you think you would try Curology in the future? Or, have you already used Curology before? After writing this review, it made me realize I need to write a new skincare routine post! For now you can read last year's skincare routine post. Let me know in the comments down below. As always, thank you for reading. I hope you have an amazing day/night. Sending you love, strength, and positivity.
