Update on My Workout Journey!

Hello everyone, I hope you're enjoying the last few weeks of summer! I know some people are totally over summer, but as I've mentioned before, I'm a little sad for it to be coming to an end. Oh well, my favorite time of the year is just about to start!

Now as you guys all know, a few months ago, I started a post talking about me starting my exercising journey (here). I thought it's kind of cool to keep record of how I improve in terms of exercising and stuff. I also think it would be a good thing to look back on!

Well, since we last spoke, I was doing Yoga.  I'm still doing yoga occasionally. I really love it, but it wasn't giving me the full body changes that I wanted. I saw there was a difference in my upper legs and my butt. The rest of my body was barely changing.

Recently, I've been going to my local track. I really like doing bleachers (steps), because I feel like it gives you the full body workout that is really good. Since I've been slacking on that a little bit, I've been walking/jogging/running around for 2 miles everyday. I don't know how long I'm going to keep up with this, but for now, I really love this! It makes me feel amazing afterwards. Sometimes it's been a little tough to want to do right after work, but I know that in the long run, it's going to give me the body I'm going to want.

Another thing I've added to my regimen is kickboxing! I've only gone to one class so far, but I love it! I was sore for two days, but it really was an actual full body workout. I can't wait to go back.

I hope this motivates you to make the fitness changes you've wanted to! Remember, it's never too late. If you have any questions about my workout routine, leave a comment down below! I'll definitely keep you guys updated on my results in the following months to come. Sending you guys love and positive vibes.

I love your writing style, very conversational and personal. I certainly can relate to what you're talking about here. My girlfriend and I have been on a workout plan for some time now and really have gotten into personal goals and achievements. I noticed your workout apps on your screenshots, are there any you recommend? I would love to find some great workout apps soon. My apple watch is great, but dedicated apps seem like they provide a more productive workout overall. Thanks!

If you want to track your running, I really like the run app! It has a map that's color coordinated in terms of the speed you were going at. I also like the Nike+ training app. It's free, and gives you a whole bunch of workouts depending on whether you work out at home or in the gym, if you have equipment, how fit you consider yourself to be, and how often you want to work out. They even give you fitness plans with videos! i really like that app loads. Hope it helps xxx

I was looking at the Nike+ app, but wasn't sure if you needed the little shoe insert or not. I will have to give them a try, thanks so much!

I am currently obsessed with resistant bands. I use some weights and run on the weekends with either my sister or friend. I also have a lot of the beachbody workouts like Insanity which I will do for 6 weeks - take a few weeks off and then restart. xxx
