Things I was grateful for in October | 2018

Hey guys! I know I say this almost every month, but damn, October has honestly flown by. 2018 is almost over! I can't believe it! Where has the time gone? I have to say that while October has gone by extremely quickly, I am pleased to say that I had an AMAZING month. Let's get right into it!

Went to Dominican Republic

Let's start with the thing that started my October! I left the 24th of September, and came back the 4th of October. I had such an amazing time. It was beyond relaxing, and as always explored more of the country! I actually even ended up bringing my grandmother back with me!

Fright Fest

The week after I came back from Dominican Republic, I went to Fright Fest with my sister, and one of my close friends, Shayla! Not only was it amazing seeing her, but it was honestly such a blast. We decided to buy the maze passes, which included 8 different haunted houses, and lemme tell you, IT WAS WORTH IT. We ended up doing 5 of the 8, and three of them got us running, screaming, and having the time of our lives. If you get the chance to go to Six Flags for the Halloween season, and you like to be scared, splurge and get the maze pass.

Side note: if you do end up going, also get the Six Flags app, so you know which lines are the shortest/longest.

Halloween

As much as I was raving about the Halloween season being here, I have to be honest and say that I honestly wasn't really in the Halloween mood. I don't know if it's because the people I surround myself with weren't really into it, or if I was just not giving myself the time to fully emerse myself in the Halloween vibes, but I wasn't as excited as I usually am for Halloween.

I watched all the scary movies, had 2/3 costumes planned out, and had plans for Halloween weekend. One of the plans did fall through, which to be honest with the mood I was in, I didn't mind at all. I did end up going on Halloween Day, and I had a blast. I dressed up as Daenerys Targaryen, and let me tell you, I think my costume came out pretty great!

Wine Tasting

One of the fall activities I successfully did was go wine tasting. Wine tasting is kind of weird for me. I can't drink red wine, cause I'm allergic, but I love the experience, so I end up going anyway, even if I can't drink all the wines. I really enjoy learning about the grapes and the science behind turning them into wine. It's just so interesting!

I went to upstate NY to the winery, and I had a really good time. On top of that, I found a new bottle of wine I really ended up loving!

I Dyed my Hair!

After 6 years of having blonde hair, I knew I wanted a change. I don't really have a lot of photos with my new hair, but here's one of them! It's not the best picture ever, but at the moment it's the best I can do! It's like a dark auburn color.

Now that's my October in a nutshell! How's your month been? Let me know in the comments down below! As always thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful night/day. Sending you love, strength and positivity.

It looks like you had an amazing month! I've wanted to go to the Dominican Republic it looks beautiful.

My month has been intense with uni, and time has just flown by and my to-do list is just getting longer and longer but I've also enjoyed many days out and good times with good friends this month.

Thank you so much love! That boat ride sounds so cute! I've done a few boat rides around NYC (as those are the closest to me), but I've never done it for lunch! That sounds so fun! Did you guys end up carving pumpkins :)?

Your hair looks really good! October has flown by, but I am looking forward to heading towards Christmas and having a rest. The wine tasting and Dominican Republic sound perfect! As usual with my life, when one area is good, another is bad. Right now work is going really well and I guess that's my month, just being an interviewer. xx

I am also super excited for Christmas too! I'm glad to hear your work life is going well. I'm sorry to hear another part of your life isn't doing so well:/ Wanna talk about it?

Work is going well, but as you can probably tell from the lateness of my comment, it's causing me major stress. The commute is so long and I go home so tired these days. So I've decided to start looking for something else. xx

This sounds like an awesome month! I'm glad you had a great trip. I love your Daenerys costume with the little dragon on your shoulder.
Wine tasting is so fun! Too bad you couldn't try the red wine, was there still a good amount of white you could taste?
Wishing you a wonderful November x

Thanks so much! It took more effort than you would imagine to keep the dragon on my shoulder!
Actually most of the wines at the wine tasting were white or rose (which I can have!). There were only two wines that were red, but they had other wines I could sample as a substitution! Happy November love 🙂 xx
