my bullet journal for 2020.

So if you guys read my post last week, or was it two weeks ago? Well I wrote about the fact that I bought a moleskin notebook for my bullet journal next year, and I absolutely hated it.

At first, I didn't want to be wasteful and was going to use it anyways, but after much deliberation, I realized if I hated the notebook, I definitely wouldn't use it as much. So after doing a bit of research, I decided on trying the Rhodia softcover dotted goalbook. I got it in the shade Beige. I wanted to choose a different color other than black, and while I was looking for a really pretty forest green color like the moleskin, I ended up liking this color instead.

When it came in the mail, I knew I was going to like this one way more. I love the "soft leather" feel. Then when I opened it up, and I saw that there were dotted numbers, an index, and a few built in calendars, I realized that this might be my favorite bullet journal yet.

I decided to already do my beginning spreads for 2020, and I am not disappointed. While there is a little bit of ghosting while using markers, there is definitely no bleeding.

This bullet journal has two ribbons, instead of the one that I'm used to. It comes with a pocket in the back, which I decided to put a letter to my future self (where I will open in December of 2020).

So today, I decided that I'm going to show you the inside of the notebook, and some of the spreads I have created to use for next year.

This is my 4th bullet journal, so I kinda have an idea of what works for me, and what's just going to sit there unused. Enough chitchat, let's get right into it!

As you see above, I used one of the calendar to organize my birthdays. I usually create my own birthday spread, but this seemed much easier and much more organized!

img_1313

For the second pre-printed calendar, I decided to use it as a future log! I was thinking of creating mini calendars underneath each month, I decided not to do that, as I naturally have pretty big handwriting!

After this I created a workout overview. I've done this for at least two years, and I really enjoy it. Whenever I exercise, I put a little dot next to the day and month! It's cool to see how many active days you've had in a year, and it pushes me to do more than the previous year!

After that I have a few personal spreads which I won't share, but then I have my 2020 Manifestation board. I like these exercises. Since I believe in the Law of Attraction, I think that you can manifest anything you want in the world with the power of your mind (there's way more that goes into it, buttt since I'm not an expert I completely suggest looking it up on Google, reading some books, and look it up on YouTube!).

I did one last year for the first time, and I found it to be a fun exercise! I also recently looked back at how I wanted 2019 to end up, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the outcome!

On the right hand side, I left space for a brain dump. I do a few of these throughout my yearly bullet journal, and it's always nice to have a blank page available for any thoughts you want to write down.

Some people are way more doodle-y with their brain dump, but I just need a blank page. Maybe if I get bored and want to doodle some later on, I can put it here as well!

img_1319

I actually did this spread last year, and while I didn't completely fill it out, I wanted to put it in this year again! So this is my looking back at 2020 spread. I have my year broken up into many different categories. They are, memories, lessons learned, new things, trips, grateful for, and accomplishments!

I found this original spread on Pintrest. You start off with this blank page with these bubbles, but when you connect them with stars, they create little constellations! They're so cute, and I can't wait to see this page filled out next year.

img_1316

This was my January introduction page. I started doing introduction pages last year. I always found them kind of pointless, and I kinda still do, but since I usually have extra pages left in my bullet journal, I started putting them in.

It also gives me some time to practice and see how I'm going to lay out the month!

img_1317

I left my calendar kind of plain this month. I realized I like my spreads best when I keep them pretty simple.

img_1321

This is my last and final spreads for now. On the left hand side I put my monthly blog schedule. While I don't always fill it out as soon as I write the post, I like to see my blog post titles written out. It helps to remind me I write certain monthly posts I make!

On the left hand side, I decided to do a pretty simple 6 day layout! One thing that I really liked about this spread is the fact that I left room for a weekly to-do list. Sometimes I don't need to do something by a certain day, I just need to get it done soon! It helps remind me of things I need to get done.

So this is what my bullet journal looks like so far! Are you doing a bullet journal this year? If so what notebook are you using? Do you like it so far? Let me know!

For those of you that want to get into bullet journaling, but don't know where to start, I suggest checking out the creator of the bullet journal method! If you're a little confused by that, you can also check out Amanda Rach Lee, who has tons of videos about owning a bullet journal!

Sending you love, strength, and positivity.

Ah I love this so much, I love how simple it looks, too. I often feel like, if I got into bullet journaling, that I'd have to do some elaborate spreads, but I'm not much of a drawer at all and not a fan of my handwriting either haha, so I love how you keep it simple (and you have a beautiful handwriting, too!!). this inspires me <3

Thank you so much! It's funny that even though this one is much simpler than ones I've done in other years, I kind of love it more?
I honestly don't really have the time for elaborate spreads, but if I wanted to have one, I can make it a little more doodle-y! and omg thank you so much, I don't hate my handwriting, but I definitely don't love it! I hope one day you decide to start one, it really helps me with organization 🙂 xxx
