keeping track of time. [+Giveaway]

When I was younger I always wore a watch. The ones I got in happy meals, those plastic ones that kind of look like G-Shock watches. Most of them were digital at the time. While I knew how to read an analog watch, I guess the ones typically meant for kids were digital? I'm not entirely sure to be honest.

As I've gotten older, I've gone through phases with watches. Times where I wouldn't really wear a watch, moments where I would wear a watch everyday until the battery ran out. Then I would get so lazy that I wouldn't wear that watch for months until I got the battery replaced.

Even now, in a time where we carry around our cell phones around, constant watches, I still like to wear a watch.

I love watches with big faces on them. Men's watches. The other day, I was getting a battery replaced on my watch, and my grandma asked me who's watch it was. When I told her it was mine, she was confused because of how big the face was. I just love the look of the big face on my small wrist.

Sometimes I find the watches with the big faces to be a bit heavy if you wear it for too long. I have this Michael Kors watch that stainless steel, and if I drive too long with it on it starts to hurt my wrist!

Recently Jord Watch* emailed me asking me if I would like to review their watch and run a giveaway. Of course I said yes! I fell in love with their watches back when I was looking for a wooden watch, and found their watches on Google.

About 6 months into blogging I found out that Jord works with bloggers, so I made it a goal of mine to eventually work with them. Here I am almost 2 and a half years into my blogging, and they emailed me! I was thrilled.

the watch itself.

I got to choose my own watch, so of course I chose a watch that had a big face. There were so many different options, that I didn't know which one to choose! By the end, I decided to get the Frankie* watch in the shade ebony & gold.

Now the entire band of the watch is made out of wood, as is the area around the face. The face itself & the plate behind it is made out of a metal material.

Jord Watch-6.jpgOn the plate behind the face you will find some information. The city your watch was made in, the date your watch was made, and the name of the materials your watch is made out of.

You also have the option to get the plate behind the watch itself engraved!

my feelings toward the watch.

As I stated before, I love big watches and have been looking for the ultimate wooden watch for a while. This watch is absolutely stunning. The wood is a dark brown shade, almost black. The gold isn't super flashy, it's a nice muted gold.

Because it is made out of wood, you do have to be careful that you do not submerge it in water, and occasionally clean it. They recommend cleaning it with either lemon or orange oil.

One thing I was extremely pleased about was how light the watch felt on my wrist. I was, and still am, obsessed with my Michael Kors watch. Like I mentioned before, I had to worry about the fact that it was too heavy for my wrist at times! This watch was extremely light, but still had the big face I loved, so I was extremely pleased.

So this post isn't over yet! I have a giveaway. Jord Watches will be giving away a $100 digital gift card, so you can have a watch for yourself! All you have to do to enter is to put your first name and your email! You get an additional entry if you follow Jord Watches on Instagram. Click here to enter.

If you don't, are you considering getting one in the future? Thank you for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day/night. Sending you love, strength, and positivity.

Ahhh what a stunning watch, I love it SO much! I also went through periods of time where I didn't wear a watch or wore one every day, but now for the past couple of years, I've been wearing one every day and I just love to. I'm also a fan of watches with big faces, even though my wrists are small, I love the look of them SO much 🙂
