Fridaze 046

My first Fridaze of May! It's been a busy few weeks. What am I kidding, it's been a very eventful 2023 for me. I'm happy to be back, chatting with you all. So let's get into it!

Officially Moved In

This first and biggest piece of news that happened at the beginning of this month was the fact that I moved! Me & J moved in together, and boy, it was not smooth. It was raining the entire weekend we got our keys.

Luckily we got help from my family and his friend. With the help of everyone, out place looked pretty unpacked by the end of the weekend.

Since then, we've been getting to know our new neighborhood, which has been a lot of fun. Trying new restaurants, delis, grocery stores, etc.

Everything has been going pretty smoothly since moving in together, which I'm happy about. It was definitely a bit of a concern, since everyone talks about the adjustment period after starting to live with your partner. As of now, it seems like I was worried for no reason (as always), because things seem to be going really well!

Luca's Surgery

We didn't realize that we booked Luca's foot surgery the same week that we moved in. It was a little bit of an extra stress, but thankfully everything went smoothly!

We've had to go to the vet twice last week to change his bandages, and so the doctor could take a look at his stitches.

Earlier this week we actually got his stitches removed, which is exciting because now we can go back to hiking and taking him to the dog park! Perfect for the Spring weather.

Christina Comes Over

Last week, I had my first friend over! It was nice to have my first guest. She also got me some lil' housewarming gifts and a dog toy for Luca. We just caught up on the couch, but it truly made my new place feel like home for the first time.

Mother's Day

Then this past weekend was mother's day. I spend the morning doing laundry at my apartment for the first time. Then, me and J split up to spend mother's day with our moms. Me and my family made a reservation at an Italian Restaurant in a town close by. We had never been there, but the place was so cute!

I got an appetizer of fresh ricotta cheese with bread (for the table), a cesar salad, and then for my entrée I got some crab ravioli! Everything I ordered was delicious, even though there were some things other people ordered that wasn't very good.

While I enjoyed the entire meal, and the ambiance, I don't know if I'll be back. There are so many other restaurants I love more or want to try out!

They did make a great espresso martini though...

Thank you! I was so worried about both of those things, and things were seamlessly 🙂
