Fridaze 043

Hey guys, happy Fridaze! This week has gone pretty slowly for me, so I'm glad that Friday is finally here. Much week wasn't too eventful, so this will be a quick one. Grab a cup of coffee or tea (I'm currently drinking some coconut water), and let's chat.

Sushi Date with Erika

Last week I ended up catching up with Erika! We got some delicious sushi. Instead of getting her a bday gift this year, I decided to take her out to a meal of her choosing. The food was excellent, and we had a great time.

I'm glad we're getting back into the groove of seeing each other once a month!

Met my Sister in Law's Mom

So my brother and my sister-in-law got married at the court house about 2 years ago, and their wedding (the party) got postponed til this summer coming up. They've been dating for about 4 years now, but in that time we have never met her mom. We've met her brother, but that was mainly because he's visited our house once or twice.

Her mom lives in Connecticut (about 3 hours from us by car) and they live in Kentucky (about 13 hours from us by car), so none of us live close to each other. She wanted to make sure we all met before the wedding, so we invited her and my sister-in-law, Laura, for dinner last week.

We ordered from my favorite Italian spot near me, and everything came back delicious!

Dogsitting with Christina

The day afterwards my sister was going to a wedding, and had asked me to dog sit! Christina passed by my sister's place to keep me company while I dog sat. My nephew, Bear, was such a good boy. He behaved really well on his walk, cuddled all night, and left us alone while we were eating dinner.

Lil Things:

  • Delicious Ricotta Cheese on Fresh Bread
  • New Love is Blind Season
  • Going to the park and having a delicious chicken salad wrap
  • taking Luca to the Dog Park

  • Finding a parking space in Jersey City after circling twice
  • Scallion Pancakes
  • J surprising me with the new High Noon Tequilas I wanted to try (I personally think they're not as good as the ones with vodka)
  • J buying my favorite chips (Honey Dijon kettle chips)

This week ended up being even slow than last week, but we'll chat more about it this week. Even if I didn't have much to share, I have to say that it feels good to be back. Writing more consistently, and chatting with you all. As always, have a great weekend xx

I did enjoy it! I'm glad it's getting a spin-off that's coming out this year. Especially if it gives snippets of the main gang in it 🙂

Okay, that sushi looks amazing Melina!

Sounds like a balanced week. I love reading these chatty, everyday posts. I often feel like not much happens day-to-day or even week-to-week, but over time it always amounts to a lot of change and experience. x

I love sushi, especially when I try a new spot, and it ends up being amazing, aha. Yes, totally agreed! I know it may be boring for some to read, but I love having casual chatty blog posts. Even if it's just for my sake. Enjoy the rest of your week xx
