Fridaze 035

Hello everyone, I took a step away from most things in my life, but have been feeling much better overall. I'm still not 100%, but I feel more myself than I have in a long time. I'm still trying to take it slow, and not overexert myself in anyway, but I'm happy to feel the way I do now!

The last few weeks have been filled with lots of fun lil' things. Let's chat!

Love is Blind

In terms of tv, my life has been Love is Blind and My Hero Academia! I looked forward to Wednesdays when they released the new episodes of Love is Blind. This season had a lot of ups and downs, and I definitely have a lot of opinions on everything.

If you're into reality tv, this is a show I've enjoyed every season, and recommend you watch it! I honestly can't wait for the one year meet up to be released in a few months.

Pumpkin Carving

A little late, but I was super excited to carve a pumpkin this year! J & me bought a pumpkin at a farmers market, and we carved it up. It actually came out super cute, and I had a lot of fun!

Local Food Trucks

Me and my dad were going on weekly food truck dates. On Thursdays, our town brings in food trucks and tents with fresh product and local shops! They have this delicious coffee truck that I look forward to every time. Last time I went I even got this beef and cheese empanada, and it was so so good.

Now that it's cooling down, they're not doing these events anymore. So I'll have to wait til next spring! I am definitely looking forward to it already.

First D&D Session in a while!

After not playing for about a year, J and some of our friends started a new D&D group. This excites me very much. If you don't know, D&D was my saving grace during the pandemic. Not only that, I always really looked forward to D&D sessions. There's something just really fun about it. I always felt really recharged after having one.

We are trying to meet up every 3-4 weeks, and already have a session planned for 2 weeks from now!

Poconos Trip

I started this tradition 4 years ago, where I get whoever's interested to go to the Poconos, Pa with me! We skipped one year because of Covid, but this year was the third successful weekend.

It's always really good vibes, relaxation, lots of laughs, and I already can't wait til next year.

We went hiking, to a brewery, played lots of board games, had a air hockey tournament, and played Mario party (which me & J won).

Catchup with Jill

This was a big thing that happened to me. If you've been following my blog for a while, you would notice that Jill makes lots of appearances. Jill is in school, works a full time job, and tries to fit in time for her, her family, and her boyfriend! It's tough, which you all know is something I've struggled with myself!

I hadn't seen Jill since June for my birthday. Even though we had a long-ish phone call in August, it's not the same as in person catch-ups. About two weeks ago we had a major catch up. We went to Panera, ordered food and drinks, and sat down to chat for hours. It was long overdue. I missed her so so much, so I'm happy we were able to update each other on our lives.

Since then, we even chatted on the phone yesterday! So we're not letting our busy schedules get the best of us.

Opening up to J

As some of you know, I've been struggling with my anxiety a lot. Because of past experiences, it's really difficult to open up to people about exactly what I'm struggling with. Last weekend, I decided to open up about certain things. I was super nervous, but I'm so proud of myself. He was very receptive to what I said, and was super supportive overall.

Thank you! I'm still proud of myself, it's really hard for me to be vulnerable about mental health, even if it's with people I feel close with. I still haven't had the chance to finish One Last Stop, switched onto A Court of Thorns and Roses, which I actually am enjoying! I was worried I wouldn't, since overhyped books can go either way, aha! I hope you're having a wonderful end of November xx
