Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall Serum Review.

It's not often that I do a full review on a skincare item, but today I'm going to do a review on the Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall Serum. I've been using this product for about three months now, and really wanted to go on here and chat about my thoughts on this.

For those of you that don't know, I have extremely dry skin, that gets even dryer with the winter months. I have to be extremely careful with what I put on my skin, because if it's not hydrating enough, my skin sucks up all the product while still staying dry. Since I also have sensitive skin I'm prone to more redness and bumps. If you want to know about the products that I've been absolutely loving and they've been working wonders on my skin look at my fall favorite's post!

Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall Serum

As mentioned before, today I'm going to talk about Fourth Ray Beauty's Rainfall Serum. The Rainfall serum is a 2% Hyaluronic Acid serum. This serum is Paraben free, gluten free, cruelty free & vegan. Some of the ingredients in this serum are seaweed sugar, cucumber water, and coconut water. The serum retails for $15 and comes with 1oz of product.

First Impressions

Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall Serum

The product is packaged in a cute, easy to open pink cardboard component. I liked the minimal design. Once you open the box, you'll find the serum itself. The Rainfall serum comes in a plastic bottle with a dropper to use the product.

Upon initial use, I immediately noticed a few things. They added a cucumber scent to the serum. It's not too strong, but I usually don't like unnaturally scented things for face products.

Another thing I noticed was how sticky this product was. I've never used a serum that felt like this. It initially feels like a gel, but once you rub it in your face, you feel the sticky consistency. It's not a terrible feeling, but it's just something to note. Something I really liked about the product, was how quickly the product absorbed into my skin.

my final thoughts, after testing for 3 months...

When I was using the product in the fall, I realized almost immediately that it wasn't wow-ing me. It did give me slight hydration, but it was nothing out of this world. Especially when I compared it to the Body Shop Vitamin E Serum, which gave me ultimate hydration.

Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall Serum

Now that the weather's colder, this product does almost absolutely nothing for my skin. I'm more than disappointed. Hyaluronic Acid is supposed to be meant for dry skin, and so I kind of expected it to be more hydrating?

While the product itself isn't irritating to my skin, it really doesn't do...much? I'm kind of disappointed by the results of this product, and while I'll continue to use it til I finish it, I will definitely not repurchase the Fourth Ray Beauty Rainfall Serum.

This is my third product by Fourth Ray Beauty, and the only product I've truly loved is the BFD cleansing oil. I feel like most of their products aren't really targeted towards people with ultra dry skin. What are your thoughts on Fourth Ray Beauty? Have you tried any of their products before? Let me know in the comments down below!

Sending you love, strength, and positivity.

It's the skincare brand of colourpop! While I love raving about things I love, I also think it's important to talk about products I don't like, so people save their money! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x

I completely agree that their products don't seem to be mean for people with really dry skin. Their face milks aren't hydrating enough and the oils just sat on my skin without absorbing 🙁 I really hoped that the Rainfall serum would be good. I don't think they put enough time into product testing. Colourpop/FRB seems to be all about fast releases instead of putting the time into proper trials and testing. It works for makeup, not so much for skincare! I'm sorry this serum didn't work out for you x

YES! You're so right, I feel like they rushed releasing these products without really testing them and making them the best they can be! They're makeup is amazing for the price, but their skincare is definitely lacking. Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x

As soon as you mentioned the sticky texture, it was an instant put off. Gutted to hear that this product doesn't really work for you at all now. I love The Body Shop serum too, so I'll stick with that one, as that one really is hydrating xx

Yeah, I've tried a few of their products, but I have to say that the majority of them are just ehh at best! I would definitely 1000% skip out on this, specially when there is so much better that you can get. Thanks for reading and commenting!

hyaluronic acid is such a key ingredient to a good serum for me. I adore the one from the ordinary.
