Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert - ★★★★ 1/2 Stars

Hey guys! I'm so sorry that I missed last week's book review. It was a lil hectic with school and other things, that I didn't have the time to finish reading anything, but lucky for you guys I have a great recommendation for you! Drum roll please *bada bada bada...*. Big Magic! This book has been raved throughout the blogging community.

Even if you haven't read it, you've seen it in the background of other blogger's pictures. I was actually really excited to read this book, cause I love self-help books. I like any book that is supposed to improve who I am as a person without being annoying, if that makes any sense. This is what the back of the book says

"Readers of all ages and walks of life have drawn inspiration and empowerment from Elizabeth Gilbert's books for years. Now this beloved author digs deep into her own generative process to share her wisdom and unique perspective on creativity. With profound empathy and radiant generosity, she offers potent insights into the mysterious nature of inspiration. Whether we are looking to write a book, make art, find new ways to address challenges in our work, embark on a dream long deferred, or simply infuse our everyday lives with more mindfulness and passion, Big Magic cracks open a world of wonder and joy."

I actually bought this book without reading the summary, only cause from what other people said about the book, I instantly knew that I wanted to read it. You guys should know that I rarely rate books so highly, but this book was really good.

It did take me a little to get through this book, not because the book was boring, more for the fact that when I read self-help books, I read it on the slower side so I can completely absorb all the information they throwing at me.

If you consider yourself to be a creative person or want reassurance about your creativity, this is the book for you. I believe that every single person in the world has the chance to be creative, even if you're not a professional. Drawing and painting makes me so incredibly happy, but I'm honestly so terrible at it! I do it cause it really calms me down. I think everyone should stop worrying about being so amazing at creative things that make you feel good!

This book was a great read, it sounded like I was having a conversation with Elizabeth Gilbert. I actually learned a lot from what she wrote. I learned to let loose when it comes to being creative. It was a really enjoyable book and think you guys should check it out! I'll leave you a link right here.

I hope you guys liked reading this book review! Have a great day. Sending positive vibes!

So important to realize that creativity has nothing to do with being "good" at what you do! Art in all of its forms is so abstract. I'll definitely have to pick up a copy of this!

Thank you for sharing this one! I'd like to read it even more now. I'm all about self-help and inspirational books. I'm currently reading/listening to (for the third time in the last few weeks) You Are a Badass. It's been life-changing!
