2024 Bullet Journal

I have talked about my bullet journal in years. Well, that's actually not true. I talk about it quite a bit in my Fridaze posts, but I haven't done an updated full on post about my bullet journal since 2020. I did to a Papier bullet journal notebook review as well, which can kind of count. After reading about how Megan and Michelle run their bullet journals, I was inspired to show how I do mine! There is one particular spread that is completely copied from a spread Megan does, but we'll get to that. Let's take a look at my 2024 bullet journal!

After a few years testing out different bullet journal brands, I went back to a Minimalism Art hardcover in the A5 size. They have their notebooks in a whole bunch of colors, it has a band to keep your notebook closed, a folder in the back, and two ribbons to keep your page (the pen loop I added myself). The notebook is $13.95, and their website does free shipping to the US! I really like the thickness of their pages, and the amount of pages you get in a notebook, especially for the price. I don't know a single notebook that can compete at this price point.

From there, the notebook itself comes with a double-sided index, and I keep an extra page to continue to add things on. I used to not really use an index, but now I find myself occasionally looking back at past entries/notebooks when I'm looking for something I know I wrote down.

From there, I have a page full of important personal information, such as account numbers for my wifi, electric, gas, etc. I also have a savings tracker, and new years resolution spread.

There are a few book tracking spreads I have within my bujo, which I plan on doing a separate post on in the future.

I have this blog spread. It's kind of interesting to know which of your posts did well during a certain month, so I keep track of the top 3 posts of each month. Then at the end of the year, I do my top yearly posts.

I've been doing these simple monthly spreads. I put two Polaroids from the month on the left, and then just a sticker with the month written down on the right.

I have a basic calendar.

This spread was inspired by Megan's. I mainly used it because it looked fancy, but wasn't too difficult to do, but I've actually been using it every month since she shared it on her blog! A TBR reading list is on the right hand side. I usually don't follow a TBR to strictly, but this year I made it a point to read more books on my Physical TBR and what's on my Kindle (unless I take out library books), and so I'm sticking to my TBR this year.

This is what my weekly spreads look like. On the right, I write down my weekly plans, things I cooked that came out good, important dates, etc. Then on the right I have a running weekly to-do list, and then on the bottom I leave space for any notes I want to write down throughout the week. If I run out of space, I tend to stick some sticky notes onto the spread.

At the end of every month, I write down some of the songs that have been on repeat throughout the month on the left hand side, and then on the right I write down some memories for the month.

I no longer necessarily start a new bullet journal at the start of every year (hence starting a new bullet journal in December). Usually, I start a new one every 5-6 months depending on how often I use it and how many pages each bullet journal has. I made this spread for the start of 2024.

On the left hand side, I created a "more of/less of" spread. This was something that was trending on Instagram, and I really liked the idea of it! I created my own to fill out. On the right, I created a 2024 highlights page (I only put 6 months, because this bullet journal won't last longer than that).

Then I created a future log with a dutch door! I have never created a dutch door spread before, but it wasn't as difficult as I though it was going to be. I think it came out pretty good.

So that was my 2024 bullet journal! I feel like I haven't changed a lot of my spreads in years, and probably in 2020, I was doing a similar weekly spread. Some weeks are busier than others, so I really like the idea that this style of weekly spread can be quickly drawn up. Would you guys be interested in seeing my reading journal spreads within my bullet journal? Let me know (also link me to your bullet journal spreads, I love getting inspired from you guys)!

It’s so lovely to see bullet journal content on your blog again! I feel quite set with the system and pages I use now, but it’s always fun to see how others use their notebooks. I should totally start writing my monthly TBR out – my 2024 has been shocking so far in terms of reading motivation.

And, thanks for linking back to my post/blog!

You have for sure inspired the comeback of my bullet journal content! I don't know how well I'll keep up with it, but it was nice to go through my newer process.
Even though I don't always follow my tbr, it's cool to see what I want to try to finish by that month. Thanks for reading 🙂 x

I just published a post in my 2024 bullet journal this week! It's so interesting to see how others decorate their bullet journals. I had a Minimalism Art journal a few years ago and loved the quality of their notebooks but I wish they had more colors. ♥

I can’t wait to see your bullet journal! That makes sense, I definitely think they’re a bit limited in colors. I actually have my next bullet journal already 🤣 I got an Amanda Rach Lee bujo in this beautiful green swirls design!
