2022 Project Pan Update #2

I'm back again to update you all on my project pan! It's been a few months, and I've actually made a lot of progress. Even though there are some products I finished in my last update, I left them on my list, cause it makes me feel good! I like knowing I've made so much progress since starting my project pan. So grab a cup of coffee/tea and let's chat!

1. Jeffree Star x Morphe Set & Refresh Mist

2. Colourpop Supershock Highlighter Wisp

I finally finished this one! As you saw in my latest update that it was almost done. After only using the product consistently for 3 1/2 months, I finally finished it! I actually just started a new Wisp this weekend. Feels good to start a fresh Supershock highlighter.

3. Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Again, I haven't really used this product too too much. The Hoola letters aren't showing anymore, so I guess that's progress. It's just that when I reach for a powder bronzer, this isn't the one I grab. On top of that, the packaging is so bulky, that I mainly use it when I'm home.

4. Colourpop Precision Brow Pencil

5. Mini Milk Makeup Kush Mascara

6. Wet N Wild Cream Bronzer Stick

I have made absolutely no progress on this. It's honestly not a great product. It takes a lot to blend it out, and even then, my makeup ends up patchy. I think I might just dump this product.

7. Milk Hydro Grip Primer

This is a product I've fallen back in love with! I've been using it every time I do my makeup. I still have a lil' while to go before finishing it, but it's been fun to rediscover my love for this product.

8. Victoria’s Secret Shimmer Lotion

9. Laniege Water Sleeping Mask [Lavender]

This has been a difficult product to finish. I've definitely made a lot of progress, I just thought I would be finished with it by now. I'm hoping by the next update I will be finished with it.

10. Dominique Cosmetics Strawberry Lemonade Lipgloss

After using this product consistently, I finally finished this one. This may be the 2nd or 3rd lip product I've ever completely finished! I actually moved on to this other lip gloss that was gifted to me from a friend, so that's been exciting. I would 100% repurchase a Dominique Cosmetics lip gloss in the future.

11. IT Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream

This was a bonus replacement item I was trying to finish, and I did. While I really like this product, I'm not 100% sure whether or not I would repurchase. I'm honestly pretty indifferent to using eye creams, especially when I already use very hydrating moisturizers in the first place. At the moment, my friend gifted me a Fresh eye cream, and I'm loving it!

12. The Ordinary. “Buffet”

I love writing these posts, because I never realize how much I finish off, until I'm writing these. While there wasn't a lot of this product leftover, I did finally finish it. I actually really liked this product. It was affordable, and felt amazing on my skin. I would 100% repurchase. At the moment, my friend gifted me this Azure Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and I'm loving it so much!

Bonus Empties:

  • Flamingo Body Lotion (3oz) - I got this in a razor kit, and I actually really liked this lotion. It smelled really good, and felt nice and lightweight for my body! While this isn't ideal for the winter months, I love it for Spring & Summer. I am going to purchase the full size one I run out of some other moisturizers I have at home!
  • Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette (Shade Caramel) [Hit Pan] - This is super upsetting. This has been my go-to palette since I purchased it two winters ago. I finally hit pan on one of the shades. Now that the palette has been discontinued, it really sucks. I'm still going to continue to use this palette, but I don't know what I'm going to do once I finish more of these shades!
  • Lorreal Lash Paradise Mascara - This is one of my favorite drugstore mascaras! I think I got a bad tube, because it was already super dry and thick when I got it. I finished this one super quickly. Instead of purchasing another one of these, I actually am currently trying out the Maybelline Lash Sensational. It's been super hyped up, and I've never had the chance to try it until now. I actually really like it. I think maybe even more than the Lash Paradise.

Replacement Products:

  • Bath & Body Works Body Lotion 3oz (Japanese Cherry Blossom)
  • L'occitane Amande Milk Concetrate .7oz
  • Burt's Bees Medicated Lip Balm
  • Laura Mercier Silky Creme Lipstick (Nu Prefere)

This project pan has been super successful! I've finished up most of the products from my original project pan. Even with the new products I've added, I've finished most of those too. I also haven't purchased much makeup recently, which has also been really nice. My makeup drawers are slowly getting emptier and emptier, and minimalizing my makeup has been so satisfying. Until next time xx

Thank you so much. I feel like I've gotten pretty lazy with my looks recently, but I used to love doing fun and different makeup looks! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x

So great that your project pan is going well! I've just started to sort out all my products as I'm going to give project pan a go. I don't have much makeup, but I do have an obscene amount of skincare so I need to use it all up. Can't wait to feel that satisfaction when I see it getting less cluttered.

I don't have as much skincare, I usually wait til I finish up what I have before buying extras. I've been doing really well using up products, and it makes me feel much better! I've been decluttering everything honestly. Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x

What a great project. It makes me cringe to think how many makeup and skincare products gets thrown away without using - good on you for making it a goal to finish them!

I feel like the pandemic made me go from being a maximalist, to normal lmao! I used to stock up on so much stuff, and buy things that piqued my interest. Even though I know, that it will take me forever to use it all up! I'm pretty proud at how much I've used up recently. Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 xx

I LOVE water sleeping masks. I haven't used this particular one from Laniege before, but I've used their original one and loved it.

I think the only difference is the scent! I like how light they feel on my skin, yet how moisturizing it is 🙂

This is a great idea and it looks like you are doing really well emptying all your products. I am doing something similar with all of my products. Thank you for sharing.

I'm actually super proud of using up so many of my products recently, and keeping my purchases to a minimum. I think it helps that I really haven't been excited about any new makeup products lately. No promises about how I'll act once I find something that looks super fun though, aha! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x

This is a great idea, especially if you know that you spend quite a lot of money on make up and want to make some more sustainable choices. I don't personally spend a lot on make up but I do have a few palettes (eyeshadow, blush etc) that could do with being used up before I purchase anything else!

During the huge beauty industry blow up I bought so much makeup! I was so stressed about how I was going to use it all. I think I have only repurchased used up products, and bought 2 new products since 2020, so I've had the chance to use up a lot of my products, which feels super nice. I'm glad you never went through that phase of buying a lot of beauty products! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x
