Things I was Grateful for in July.

Wow, I can't believe that July is officially over. July went even quicker than June did. I can't believe we're basically 2/3 of the way done with summer! Where does the time go? I have to say that this summer might be one of the best summers I've ever had (wow, am I actually making a claim like that?!). No but seriously, my summers have been getting better and better every year, and this year is no different.

This summer, I have met a few amazing people (psst....you guys know who you are), I've spent time with my favorite people in the whole entire world, I went to Europe for the first (and absolutely loved it), and have just been enjoying the life I have been so blessed to be given.

I went to Atlantic City.

I went to Atlantic City about 2-3 years ago, for a spontaneous trip to celebrate my brother's birthday, and while I had an amazing time, I never had the chance to go back. Last month, me and my sister both decided we wanted to go away for the weekend, so that's exactly what we did! We planned the trip with two other people and drove down there. It was honestly such a nice time, and we're already planning our next lil' weekend trip in a few months! I'm looking forward to it already! So, thank you guys for giving me the away I need every once in a while. I appreciate every single one of you guys.

I Got to work with PrettyLittleThing.

Now, this summer's been full of opportunities for my blog, but this might have been the one I've been most excited to work on. I spend two weeks planning where to shoot the pictures, planning out the post, editing the shots, and everything in hopes it was going to come out perfect. I had such a blast working on this lil' project, and I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to work with a company I genuinely love. If you haven't had the chance to read the post, I would love it if you did! You can click here to give it a lil' read.

I went to a Murder Mystery Dinner.

I went to one of these when I went to Chicago about 3 years ago, and it was such a fun experience. Then for Christmas (I know, that was a whileee ago), my younger brother got me two tickets to go to another one. I booked the dinner two months ago, but I finally got to go this month. I went with one of my best friends, and we had such an amazing time. We didn't figure out who the murderer was, but we didn't get the most wrong award!

My friend ending up looking so cute and really dressed the part. I would for sure go to another one!

4th of July was a Success!

I feel like 4th of July was so long ago, I can't believe it was actually last month! Normally for 4th of July, I don't do much. I relax, stay at home, and maybe chase the fireworks (literally drive in a car trying to watch all the fireworks in all the towns close to me). This year, me and my sister decided to have a few of our closest friends over for a BBQ. We had such a blast. It was originally supposed to rain that day, but thank god the rain stayed away. The weather was perfect for going into the pool, and it was just an overall success!

Ant-Man and the Wasp

How would my month be without including a movie I've watched throughout the month? This time around I watched Ant-Man and the Wasp. I honestly didn't have any prior opinions before going into this movie. I remember not having high hopes for the first one and then loving every second of it.

I feel like this movie had a lot of comic relief. I wasn't a huge fan of the main villain  in this one, but as always I really liked the plot and the main/side characters. It was a pretty good addition to the Marvel Franchise, and it did answer one huge question. Did they survive the wiping of half the population created by Thanos in Infinity War? I'm not going to tell you, but if you want to find out, you have to watch it (or you can totally just Google it...)!

There's obviously dozens more things that I can mention that made my July amazing, but I think I'm going to leave it here. How was your July? Let me know in the comments below! I hope you guys have an amazing August. Sending you love, strength, and positivity. Talk to you next week xxx

That's great to hear that you've had such a great summer so far, I hope the trend continues!
I went to a murder mystery dinner a few years ago and it was super fun, I should go to another sometime.
I loved the new ant man movie too! I wasn't super excited for it after seeing the new avengers (because how can you beat that cliff hanger!?) but I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Ant man is the best Dad, I loved the cute little maze he built for his daughter in the first part of the movie =D I'm also so curious to know what happened to him after the snappening (as called by reddit when thanos dissolves half the people!)

My thoughts exactly! I just wanted to know what happened after the most recent avengers, but it was actually good! I loved the maze too. His relationship with his daughter was too cute!

July really did fly by. It's nice that you managed to have some wonderful experiences and meet amazing people as it did. I love all of the different outfits you wore. I especially love the black dress you were wearing in the third photo. Your July sounds like it was a lot of fun. Mine was relatively boring, BUT now that it's August, I've managed to do my first blog post in over ten months (just today). 😀

I'm glad you've had such an amazing summer! Atlantic City seems like the perfect place for a fun weekend. And the 4th of July does seem so long ago now. It's weird because time is flying by, yet going slow at the same time. Somehow that's possible?! Lovely post Melina. xx
