Summer Activities you can do safely while Social Distancing!

While we are still in the middle of a pandemic, it doesn't mean that you can't have a little fun! Here are a few ideas of things you can do while still social distancing safely.

Camping

This is not only a great activity to do during a normal summer, but it's even better when you're trying to social distance! While I'm not the biggest fan of sleeping in tents, there are alternatives like sleeping in cabins, glamping, or in a Yurt (my sister's doing it, and I'm so excited for her).

When camping most activities you do are in the outdoors with little to no people around.

Hiking

Another thing you can do is go hiking. I love taking the drive to go and adventure out to new hiking spots. While I always bring a mask with me while I'm hiking, just in case I run in to someone, I rarely do!

Vineyard

Now at first I didn't think this was going to work well, but most vineyards have made rules where people have to make reservations beforehand! This is to have control over how many people come at a time.

I'm planning on going during the weekday, so there will be even more open space!

Lavender Farms

This is a random activity I found through a friend I follow on Instagram! I honestly didn't even know these kinds of activities existed, but I'm actually going today. I'm super excited (be prepared to see a few pictures and videos on Instagram).

Again, I had to schedule a day and time that I was going to show up, in order to control the amount of people who are there at a time.

Paint & Sip

I've been really into painting recently, and I thought this was a great idea! There two ways you can go about this. You can follow a video on YouTube while you drink and chat. The other way, which also helps local business, is sign up for the virtual paint and sip classes with your local paint and sip!

No matter what, this activity is super fun, and safe.

Drive-in Movie Theater

They've been opening up a lot of drive-in movie theaters near us in large parking lots. Drive-in movie theaters have always been too far from my house, so I've actually never gone before, but now is the time to take advantage of all the drive-in activities available!

Beach

Now this one might be a controversial one, and one that I have still be hesitant to go to, but in theory the beach is a great idea!

I have seen the beaches are a little to busy most days, and most people aren't wearing masks, so I have personally strayed from going to the beach, but if you know a place that doesn't get too crowded, the beach is a perfect place to be!

If you want to go to the beach, but don't want the crowds, I recommend going later in the day.

Raspberry Picking

My family friend went raspberry picking the other day, and I thought it was such a good idea! I love picking fruit in general, so picking the on-season fruit not only helps local farms, but you also get some fresh fruit!

If you're not a big fan of raspberries, you can also go to pick blueberries, tomatoes, or fresh herbs!

So this is the list of activities that I came up with! What social distancing activities have you been doing this summer? Let me know!

As always, hope you have a wonderful/day night. Sending you love, strength, and positive vibes xx

Such great ideas! I now have to google lavender fields for around my hometown because I LOVE lavender!
I have actually been spending a lot of my time at the beach. I have actually been quite impressed with the social distancing guidelines put in place, and I have found everyone has been really respectful at least the ones I have gone too. <3

It was such a cool experience! Some friends I follow on Instagram went to one, so me and my friend did some research and found one near me! The owner of the lavender farm said that it's not very profitable for them to let people to pick them, because the money is in making the essential oils, but if you can find one near you, then do it! I'm glad that everyone's doing a good job social distancing where you're at! I think where I'm at, people are also social distancing pretty well, and keeping the numbers down. I hope everything's okay with you! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x
