Gratitude in January | 2021

After spending the past week in South Carolina, I drove back to Jersey on Sunday. I hadn't realized that it was supposed to snow, and I drove in the storm! A drive that was supposed to take 10 1/2 hours, ended up being close to 14 hours. It was honestly the most terrible driving experience I've ever had.

I got home tense and beyond exhausted.

But now I'm back! I feel extremely refreshed and relaxed. It was so nice to spend time with my brother and his family. We didn't really do much, because of Covid, but to be honest, just spending time together was really nice.

Today I want to start February by sharing with you some of the things I was grateful for in January. I thought that with the clean slate that came with the New Year, I was hoping January was going to be better than past months. While I found January to be one of my more difficult months since the pandemic has started, there have definitely been some highlights throughout the month.

The Bachelor

One of the highlights of last month was that the Bachelor started up again! I wasn't completely sure if I was going to like Matt since we hadn't gotten to know him in past months, but he might be one of my favorite Bachelors!

The girls are extremely rude and catty this season, which has made it entertaining to watch. A lot of my friends have been watching along with me, so it's been something fun to talk with all of them.

Road Trip to South Carolina

As I already mentioned, last week I spent the week in South Carolina. This was by far the highlight of my month. I didn't really go out much or anything, but it was extremely nice to be in a new environment and get to spend time with my brother and the rest of his family.

I was able to completely unwind, recharge, and reset. I came back feeling pretty good!

Played Original Xbox

While I was in South Carolina, my two brothers and I decided to play some of the original xbox. It was a bit of an adventure to get everything back to working condition, but it was so worth it. We spend the week trying to beat Gauntlet Dark Legacy, and while we didn't succeed, it was a lot of fun to play one of the games we spend so many hours playing growing up.

Nice Weather

I think one of the best things about going to South Carolina, was the change in the weather. Up here in Jersey it was in the 20's & 30's, and so when I reached South Carolina, it was like a breath of fresh air. The weather was between 50's to 70's. I was able to walk around in a short sleeve shirt, take in some of the sun, and it was so nice.

I definitely can't wait til the weather starts warming up in Jersey. I know it won't be for another few months (specially with this snow I came back to), but being in the spring-like weather in Charleston gave me something to look forward to.

Well that was my January in a nut shell! How was your past month? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you have a wonderful day/night. Sending you love, strength, and positivity xx
