Fridaze 063

Happy Fridaze! I'm pretty proud of how consistent I've been posting on here, and it's been fun! I remember when I first started blogging back in late 2016 I was obsessed with the amount of views I got, and while it's still nice to see people are reading your blog, it's just not that important to me anymore. I genuinely really enjoy sharing my life with you, and chatting with my blogging friends and people who comment on my blog.

Well that was a long intro, but I' honestly in a chatty mood today. I hope you're all having a wonderful December, let's chat about my past week leading up to this Fridaze.

Amanda

This will come to a surprise to absolutely no one, but I've been struggling quite a bit. The busy November month, the winter blues starting to kick in, and just a feeling of extreme overwhelm. I'm so grateful to say that Amanda is that person who has the magical ability to fill my cup up whenever we hang out.

And last week was no exception. We went to an tea house that opened up close to us, and had an amazing time. We ordered food, tea, and dessert. I'm not one to order dessert after a full meal, but the fact they didn't rush us out, it allowed us to digest a bit and then order desert.

Afterwards we split up, got into comfy clothes, and hung out again. We had some wine, watched TV, and just chatted. And it was so comfortable. It was a great day. The funny thing is that the day itself wasn't anything out of the ordinary for us, but it was just special because we were able to spend so much uninterrupted time together.

sister time

The following day, I woke up from a message from my sister saying she was going to come and visit. I had mentioned something along the lines of "i'm free all weekend if you want to come over and hang out" earlier in the week. My sister doesn't really like driving on highways, which there is one major highway between our homes, so I didn't think she was actually going to come over. I had completely forgotten about it potentially happening.

When I got that message, I was so happy. I got ready, and when she came over it was so nice! We watched tv and chatted. I heated up some dinner I made the night before, and then we played games together (Valorant, Apex & Stardew Valley). Then we ordered from one of our favorite fast food places. Overall another good day.

Monthly Book club

Another thing I completely forgot about this week was the fact that I had my Thriller Book Club! This is the third month I've been a part of my bookstagram friend's book club. The first month we just chatted about it in our Instagram group chat. These past two months, we've done a Zoom call. It's been super nice to read books I haven't reached for naturally (even though I like the Thriller Genre), and then chat about it with fellow book lovers. This month we read The Inmate by Freida McFadden, which I talked about briefly in my books post of November. If you want to join, let me know!

J surprises me!

I talked last week about the fact that J was traveling for over 10 days, but I was so pleasantly surprised when he came this past Tuesday in the afternoon! I was so happy to see him, and it always is a highlight for my week.

lil things:

  • Cooking chicken thighs for the first time, and they came out deliciously! (J helped finish out the chicken thighs, while I worked on making the rice and beans)
  • Starting Throne of Glass. I was so nervous to start, because it's such a large series, but I'm 40 pages in and I'm hooked already.
  • Finishing Gossip Girl, and feeling so sad all over again.
  • Going back to watching One Piece, and feeling back at home with my favorite pirate crew

  • Animal Crossing New Horizons [Nintendo Switch]
  • Valorant [PC]
  • Apex [PC]
  • Stardew Valley [PC]

  • Jujutsu Kaisen [CrunchyRoll]
