These posts have always been the easiest to write. I just like chatting and rambling to you all. These don't have to be perfectly written, and yet I still feel like I'm connecting with you all. Well, grab a cup of coffee or tea and let's chat!

Atlantic City

This was about two weeks ago, but I still wanted to share this day with you all. I went to Atlantic City with J for his sister's birthday! It was only the 4 of us (me, J, his sister, and her husband).

We ended up staying at the Hard Rock Cafe Casino. It was my first time staying there, and I really enjoyed it. The rooms were nice and the place was huge! We went to a fancy Italian restaurant inside the actual casino (Il Mulino). The service was excellent. They gave us 5 lil' baby courses to try different things they had in house that day. My meal was really good too. I will say that compared to what some other people ordered, it wasn't my favorite dish of the night.

Afterwards we went to the casino. Now, I'm not much of a gambler, but J likes to play a bit. I played with $100, and initially, I almost lost it all, but somehow I ended up with $142! I cashed out immediately, and just chilled for the rest of the night.

It was a great night at AC, even though I was terribly hung over the next day.

Nancy Drew Day #2 with Sofia

The following day I had made plans with my sister, Sofia. We scheduled out another day to finish our Nancy Drew mystery. I am proud to announce that after 3-4 hours, we completed the mystery.

Her boyfriend made us some really yummy drinks (our own personal in-house bartender), and we had a great time. I'm not sure which mystery we're going to attempt to beat next, but I'm already excited for our next session.

Brunch with Amanda & David

Then I ended my weekend by going to Brunch with J, Amanda, and her boyfriend David. Even though I was exhausted after a long weekend, and it was pouring outside, I had a great time!

Don't Worry Darling

That same week, I went to see Don't Worry Darling with Amanda. We were both curious about the movie, and scheduled to watch it when we went to brunch. We went on a Tuesday to see the movie at a discount.

The movie was...okay. It wasn't terrible, but I feel like it could have also been so much better. I liked the concept, and a lot of the acting was excellent (huge props to Florence Pugh & Chris Pine). While I love Harry Styles as an artist, this movie would have been better if they casted someone else for his role.

I've seen mixed reviews all over the internet, so if you're curious about the movie, I suggest checking it out for yourself!

The Maine

The highlight of the last few weeks might have been The Maine concert. I bought these tickets a few months ago, and I've been looking forward to it for a while. It was at Pier 17 in NYC. It was an outdoor concert, and it was so so much fun. My friend Jamie and her fiancé met up with me and J! We sang the whole night away, and I already can't wait til I see them again.

I hope this wasn't too long for all of you. I had fun sharing it all though. As you can tell I've been watching a lot of TV and reading a lot in between all the fun stuff. I've been reading good book after good book. I don't think I've ever read so many 4-5 star books in a row!

Tell me how your weeks have been? As always sending you all love, strength, and positivity. Chat soon xx

Sounds like you had a fun week! Don’t Worry Darling has been on my list of films I want to watch. I haven't seen Harry Styles act in anything so I can't judge his acting yet but I do like him as an artist. ♥

A lot of people really liked the movie! And after all the drama surrounding it, I was expecting it to be terrible, when in all reality, It wasn’t terrible at all! You’re going to have to let me know your thoughts when you watch it yourself:)

I have no idea how to gamble at a casino. I feel I would just keep choosing the same number and hope for the best. Going somewhere like Atlantic City sounds really fun! I've just finished watching Dahmer on Netflix. It was interesting but I feel because of how disgusting he was, I couldn't watch the episodes back-to-back.

They have different kinds of games at the casino! There are slots where all you have to do is press a button. It’s honestly all luck lmao.
I’m currently on the 9th episode of the show. It’s really good, but it’s taking me forever to get through. For the exact reason you mentioned. I can’t wait to be over it, because I’m going to start the watcher next. It’s based on a true story in a town kinda close to me! I remember hearing all about it when I was graduating high school. I’ve heard that it’s been super dramatized, but it’s still interesting that they made a show about something that I remember happening in real time close to me. Hope you’re doing well 🙂 xxx

Sounds like a fun week Melina, you packed so much in! I've had a very food and friends-heavy week, coupled with plenty of House of the Dragon and Dahmer viewing x

How have you been liking house of dragons!? What did you think of the season finale? and I'm still not finished with Dahmer. I think I'm on episode 8 or 9?
