Fridaze 002

I have to say while this is only the second week of me doing this, I've been doing monthly updates since I first started my blog about 4 1/2 years ago! I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about sharing about my personal life this often, but to be honest, I think I kind of like it! It means that I don't have to constantly worried about having these super structured posts, and it allows me to talk about whatever I want to. Which is especially helpful when I struggle with writer's block!

Found a new Boba Tea Spot

My brother has always been a big fan of Kung Fu Tea. While it was never my favorite, it was always convenient to get, because we had one in our town. Since my brother has gotten his permit, he's been wanting to drive a lot more, so while looking for a new local Boba Tea Spot, I think we found a winner!

It's only about a town or two over, and they make it so much better than Kung Fu Tea. I honestly can't wait to take my best friend there, because she is obsessed with Boba Tea! She's actually the one who introduced it to me.

Starting New Book series with my sister

Another thing that's been pretty exciting is the fact that me and my sister are going to start reading the Shadow & Bone series together! She had told me that she read a chapter or two for one of her college courses, and since I told her that I was interested in reading it myself, we decided to read it at the same time.

I might invite the rest of my book club to read it with us too, so we can all talk about it with each other!

Part of the Century Club

Now this is something I'm super proud of myself for! I've been a member of Peloton for about a year and a half or two. I haven't always been consistent, but I always went back and continued my journey to try to get healthy and fit!

About two weeks ago, I hit my 100th cycling ride, which is amazing! I honestly can't believe that I've been using Peloton for that long. Not only that, but it takes a while to 100 rides, so I'm excited to say that I achieved that.

Not only did they send me an email, but they also gifted me a century club shirt, and this cute lil card to congratulate me on hitting this achievement!

Onto 150 rides next.

Nice Days ahead of us

The final thing is the weather being consistently nicer! We have had weeks upon weeks of rain, but it finally seems to have started the shift to sunny summer days! I know it's not summer yet, but after the year we've had, I think I'm allowed to turn on summer mode a bit early!

So tell me, how's your week been? Have any of you read Shadow & Bone? Are you a fan? Have you checked out the Netflix Series? Does it compare? Tell me all your thoughts (no spoilers...please)!

Sending you love, strength, and positivity xxx

I love this series, it's such a lovely idea. I've never tried Boba Tea before, but I have heard such good things. I've also been on a huge peach tea kick lately, so I'll have to give it a go. Congrats on reaching the century club, that's a huge achievement!xx

Thank you! I really like it, but I can say that it might be an acquired taste! I love the taste and texture of the tapioca balls, but I can imagine some people don't like it because of that!
I know, I am honestly so proud of myself, if I didn't have the app, I would never be able to keep track of it, so it's super cool. Thanks for reading and commenting Hannah! Hope you're doing well, and your living room is getting closer to coming together 🙂 x

I love bubble tea. I have passion fruit tea with lychee or apple boba. It is delicious. Thank you for sharing your update. Have a great weekend!

You know, I always stick to the classical tapioca bobas, and have never tried the other types, I might have to give them a try! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x

    Happy Friday, Melina!

I love joyful little series like this, so I'm looking forward to more from you weekly.

Funny--I JUST started watching Shadow & Bone on Netflix, but I haven't read the books. I'm enjoying it so far but (no spoilers!) I *do* think they name-drop a lot without much context, and I think reading it first might help with that. You're definitely doing the right thing!

Have a great weekend ahead. xo

Hey Meg, I just finished the first book, so we can now talk spoilers if you want, aha! I loved the book, and I can't wait to read the second one (just waiting for my sister and friend to finish). I think I'm going to watch the show next! How did you like it overall? Have you had the chance to finish? thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 x
