Dear Diary 016, [Finishing Paper Mario, Dungeons & Dragons & Iphone 12 Mini]

I haven't sat down and written a post like this since around October, and even though it's been a while since I've chatted with you all, not much has actually happened. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and let's chat!

Iphone 12 Mini

After having my Iphone 8 for the past two years, I decided it was time for an upgrade. My battery wasn't lasting as long, and my 64gb of space was filling up (I have a lot of apps and photos on my phone). I went back and forth deciding on what phone I wanted, and ended up getting the Iphone 12 Mini in the Navy Blue shade. I'm obsessed.

It fits perfectly in my hands, and while it is a little smaller than my iPhone 8, the screen is actually slightly bigger! The camera is amazing. My battery lasts all day with ease, and there isn't one bad thing I can say about it. I'm so happy with my purchase, and if you're looking into getting a new phone, and don't want to get a tablet sized phone, I definitely recommend looking into the iPhone mini!

My best friend went to the Air Force

This was something that was pretty hard for me last month. My best friend lives about 8 blocks away from my house, and are constantly hanging out with each other. While I knew she was going away for training eventually, it still caught me off guard.

She got her orders in the beginning of November stating that she was leaving in 3 weeks. We spent as much time as possible with each other. I think I saw her 5 out of the 7 days leading up to her departure.

I miss her like crazy, and while we've texted and facetimed, it's definitely not the same. I can't wait til we're reunited!

Finishing Paper Mario: Origami King

For my birthday, my sister's boyfriend got me this game. I was beyond excited, because growing up, I was obsessed with the Paper Mario games. While this game was a little different in terms of fighting format, the humor and the game itself was pretty similar.

I was on and off playing it over the last few months, but ended up finishing it about a week and a half ago! It was really good, and while it didn't end as expected, I wasn't disappointed. I 100% recommend this game if you're a fan of the older Paper Mario games.

I secretly am hoping that they'll remaster the original Paper Mario game now!

Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons and Dragons still is one of the highlights of 2020. It gives me the chance to socialize with my cousins and uncle, and it's just a lot of fun! We're almost done with our first campaign, so it's good to get the hang of the game, and just get creative with it.

I'm so grateful for D&D nights with my family this year.

Feeling Like a Homebody

With Coronavirus numbers going up in NJ, and the weather cooling down, I've been spending almost all my time at home. I haven't dined inside a restaurant since March, so unless I have to run a quick errand or go to work, I've been in total hibernation mode. I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing, since the more I keep to myself in the winter, the more down I tend to feel during this time of year.

In the same breath, I know I'm being responsible by staying home as much as possible during this pandemic.

It's definitely a tough balance. What have you guys been doing in order to stay motivated and keep your spirits up during this difficult time?

Reached my Goodreads Reading Goal

The final thing I want to share with you all is the fact that I reached my Goodreads reading goal! Last year I had a goal of reading 75 books, and I reached it. This year I decided to push myself to read a little more, and made my goal 80 books. I'm officially at 82 books, and I'm so happy. I love reading, and it's really helped me cope with the difficulties this year.

Are there any books you recommend me reading before the year end? Let me know!

This one's been a bit of an update, but I guess a lot more has happened than I thought! How have you been? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you're all enjoying December. Sending you guys all love, strength, and positivity xxx

lmao, I'm enjoying it to a point! I feel like I've been semi-hibernating all of 2020, so i'm definitely feeling a bit cooped up! Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂 x

I hope you are able to reunite with your friend soon, I totally agree that facetime just isn't the same, even though it is nice. I used to love Super Paper Mario as a kid, but haven't tried this one because it looks so different. Glad to hear that you liked it, I may have to give it a try if it ever goes on sale haha xx

If you do end up getting it, definitely let me know my thoughts. Like I said, the fighting is definitely different, but there were also so many parts of the game that still kept to that old original paper mario! Thanks for reading and commenting! I hope you had a wonderful december 🙂 Happy New year xx
