black bloggers you should be following!

First off, Happy Juneteenth! If you've been following my blog for the past two weeks, you would see that I've been doing a series in order to support the black community. Today, I'm going to share with you my favorite black bloggers. I've been following most, if not all of these people since the beginning of my blogging "career", and have consistently loved them.

What I've written so far:

Young Adult Fiction Written by Black Authors

Beauty Brands I Love Owned by Black Women

Black Content Creators You Should be Following [Instagram Edition]

If you haven't check out the rest of my series, you can click any of the link above to check them out. Let's get right into it!

Francisca Rockey

black bloggers francisca rockey

I've been following Francisca since I started my blog. I don't even remember how I found her. I know there was a phase where I really struggled with finding new blogs, and wordpress was recommending blogs for me to add to my reader.

I was so glad I found her blog! She has a lifestyle blog, which might be my favorites. She recently redid her blog theme, and it looks very editorial. I definitely recommend giving her a following and checking out her blog! You can click here to check her out now.

Thoughts From Jasmine

black bloggers thoughts from jasmine

Jasmine started blogging around the same did I did, and when twitter chats (remember those?) were a thing, I think I met her on one of those. She was super active on twitter, so I was always seeing her posts, and so I decided to follow her!

Her blog has gone through many phases, and right now I think it looks stunning! She talks a little bit about everything. One thing that she writes about that's pretty unique, is musicals! It's cool, because I don't know that many blogs that do so. She's super nice, and always takes the time to answer her comments and tries to share the love with others. She's a great person to follow, so I definitely suggest checking her out! You can click here to check her out.

Oge Enyi

Out of my more recent follows, there's Oge Enyi. I've been following her for about a year now, and I honestly can't even tell you how I found her? She runs a fashion and lifestyle blog!

I like her style of writing, and the fact that she dabbles in multiple topics. I've come to realize that I tend to gravitate towards non-niche bloggers? I like to know the multiple dimensions of a person, and when their blog does a good job of showing off multiple sides of their personality, I relate to them more!

I definitely recommend checking her blog out as well, give her a follow and check her out here!

With Love Yossy

black bloggers with love yossy

I know that I mentioned Yossy in my Content Creators post, but I honestly followed her blog before I followed her on Instagram. She might be one of my favorite all time favorite bloggers. She has a beautiful style of writing. It's very conversational, personal, and knows exactly how to suck you in.

Just like her Instagram, her photography is also beautiful. I love the way her blog looks. It's simple to navigate, sleek, and neat. If you follow anyone on this list, she is exactly who you should follow. You can check her blog out here.

In My Sunday Best

I know that this is another repeat from my black content creators, but as I said before I was mainly talking about her Instagram account. I've been following her account for a while now, mainly because of Yossy. While she has a slightly different style of writing to Yossy, I would say she writes just as beautifully.

She also has a beautiful theme going on! While there are a lot of beautiful themes out there, there are a lot of blogs who have the same theme (think the pipdig era). I really tend to gravitate towards people who have unique and clean blog themes. Anyways, I think you should definitely check her out! You can click here to look at her blog.

So these are going to be all the blogs I talk about today! I hope you check them out and give them some love. Are there are any Black bloggers that you love? Let me know in the comments down below! Thanks so much for reading and commenting. As always, I hope you have a nice night/day. Sending you love, strength & positivity.

This is a great series you have created. The influencer industry definitely has a gap in the market - when I think about huge lifestyle bloggers, they tend to all look the same. I'm glad people are starting to realise - this will hopefully push brands to diversify who they work with.

I'm the same with non-niche blogs. I like to find out different things about a person, and I think it makes for more interesting content. xx

I follow so many different types of people, who write really different types of content, and while I still think that I follow more white content creators (cause they're easier to find, I think?), I'm definitely working on continuing to diversify my feed even more 🙂 x

There is so much diverse talent, but I tend to see a lot of people who look the same get all opportunities. It's definitely something that needs to change within the influencer industry. I hope you give some of them a follow! Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂 x
