A Reflection of 2017.

I pondered a lot about what I wanted to post this Tuesday. Did I want to talk about all the amazing gifts I got this year? Not really, because for whatever reason, it didn't really get me excited to write. Did I want to recap what I did this weekend? While it would have been a nice thing to look back on in the future, I figured it wouldn't have interested you guys much (hey, I could be wrong, and if you want to know what I did this past weekend, leave a comment below!).

I decided that I was time to start reflecting on the year. While there is about a week left in the year, I'm pretty much I know how I feel about this year. This year has had loads of ups, and quite a few downs. I knew this year was going to be the best year yet. I don't know if I was completely wrong last January, but I hope by writing this post, I will come to a conclusion.

I Traveled.

I have been extremely bless this year in terms of traveling. I started 2017 with going to California with my best friend. You can check out posts about it here and here. I then went to the Poconos for a weekend. I continued to go on loads of mini adventures. In June I went on a cruise for my 23rd birthday! This was also an exciting adventure, and will be be a trip that I will always remember. You can read about this here and here (I'm sorry for so many links, but it is a reflection!). In August, I went to Costa Rica. This was so much fun, and if you want to read about it, you can check it out here and here! I even spend a few weekends in Connecticut to visit my brother, and that's always a good time. Overall, I can say that I did and saw loads of new things that I've never experienced before.

I Lost Some Friends.

I feel like this is something that happens every year as time progresses. While they hurt me at the time, I realized I have become much stronger in the process. While I have lost some friends, I realized who is there for me through thick and thin. Some people are there when it's convenient. Some people are there for a good time. Some people are genuine. They are there for you when you need them most. They are there when you are at your worst. So, while I have lost some people that I never expected to, I have to say that I beyond grateful for the family that I have gotten to chose. Special shout out to Erika, Jill, Christina, Sofia, and Albert. I don't know where and how I would be without you guys. You mean the world to me, and I am so lucky to have each and every one of you in my life.

My blog grew.

I started my blog a little over a year ago, and it has become such a huge part of who I am today. I would have never thought that everything I have learned, everyone I have met, and all that I have accomplished would have had such a huge impact. I am so proud of how far I have come on this blog. I am happy for every comment, view, like, and retweet. A huge thank you to every single person who has supported me throughout the year. I hope my lil community continues to grow, and you follow me along the way.

While other things happened throughout the year, I have to say that these are the major ones. These three things are probably the most impactful. While there was one more thing I think I would have added, I have to say that some things are better left unsaid.

Overall, this year has changed me significantly. I feel like every year does that (what can I say, it's the 20s!). I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for me. I already know a few of my plans and I can't wait to share them with you in the next few months! How has your year gone for you? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you guys have a wonderful day/night. Keep enjoying your holidays. Sending you all love, strength, and positivity!

You did so much this year! I loved reading all your travel posts and bullet journal spreads. I felt like 2017 was a rocky year, but it had it's fair share of ups and downs like your said.
Also this is unrelated but I finally read A Monster Calls. I remember that you recommended it so I finally picked it up. It's so sad!! I definitely cried at the end, thanks for the recommendation!
