A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness - 4 1/2 Stars
This book was probably one of the best books i read in a while. When i saw the cover, and read the summary in the back of the book, i was a bit doubtful. My sister read it before me, and told me that i had to read it. That it was such an amazing book, and you know what? It really was.
I don't want to give too much of the summary away, because I want you to feel surprised when you read it. I will say that's it's about a boy Conor, who has been having terrible nightmares since his mother started his cancer treatments. One night a monster comes to his bedroom....
That's all i'm going to say about it, because seriously i don't want to skew you opinion on it, when you read it yourself. It was such a good story, that in the end had a beautiful moral/theme/message.
This book is considered to be a children's story, but i don't agree at all. There is some minor cursing, and has young-adult things happening within the story.
If you haven't noticed, i seriously seriously seriously recommend that you read this book. I feel like everyone can take something away from reading it.

It's honestly one of the best books i've ever read!
