5 TV Shows you should check out!

It's funny that throughout this entire pandemic, I binged so many series, I can't even keep track of them all. And even though I've watched more tv than ever before, I haven't written a post sharing with you my favorites! Today I wanted to share with you 5 Tv shows you should check out. While you may have heard of some of these, I hope you find something new to watch!

The Undoing [Limited Series, 6 Episodes]

5 TV Shows you should check out melnia elisa the undoing hbo

This was a show everyone was talking about at some point of the pandemic. And with good reason! This show is amazing. There's not a dull moment in the show, and keeps you guessing throughout the entire limited series. It's only 6 episodes long, so if you really wanted to you could watch the whole thing in one day (like I did).

I would consider this series to be a drama. It follows a therapist who's husband gets accused of murder. As you continue on through the show, you see that the police aren't sure whether to trust her. And to be honest, neither can you. What actually happened the night of the murder? Who was responsible?

You can watch this on HBO and also with a Hulu Premium membership!

Bridgerton [Ongoing Series, 8 Episodes]

This is another show that everyone was talking about towards the end of 2020. To be honest, I wasn't sure that this show was going to be my cup of tea. It's a historical time piece, which I'm usually not a big fan of. I wasn't even going to watch it originally! When I found out that Shonda Rhimes had produced the show, I knew it was going to be full of twists, turns, and drama. I had to watch it.

And boy, did I enjoy this show. Not only are the two main characters completely gorgeous (honestly just look at Regé-Jean Page), but the first season was really well told. The outfits, the places where the show was shot, the plot, I enjoyed all of it! The show follows a family during the courting season. While the family is extremely close knit, they are each struggling with different things throughout the courting season.

They have already renewed the show for a second season, and I can't wait. If you haven't watched it yet, you still have time to watch the first season before the second one comes out!

Tale of the Nine Tailed [Limited Series, 16 Episodes]

Over the course of the pandemic, my sister has gotten into K-dramas, and just like most things she does, I've tagged along for the ride. While I haven't watched every show she's watched, I was lucky enough to hop on this show!

It follows this girl, who somehow becomes involved with this guy who used to be the mountain god. While he isn't the mountain god anymore, he is still a very important and powerful god When he first meets her, he can't point his finger as to why she looks and feels so familiar, but he feels extremely comfortable with her. While he's extremely rude, they become friends.

Of course, there are a lot of dangers of being close to a god.

I didn't expect to love this show so much! The acting is amazing, even from the children. The plot is good and unique. It has action, drama, funny bits, and even some romance! I highly recommend it.

Peaky Blinders [Ongoing Series, 30 Episodes]

This is not a new show by any means, but it's a show that I've started during the Pandemic. The show takes places during the industrial period in Ireland. It follows a family that are known as the Peaky Blinders. The head of the household, Tommy, is extremely ambitious and has dreams of their family being extremely successful and wealthy. Throughout the series you follow him and his family through their journey to success.

I'm only on season 2, but I feel like so much has happened. There are a lot of time jumps in between seasons. While some seasons start off where the other one ended, The jump between season 1 & 2 is a couple of years. I highly recommend this show, and you can watch all of the released episodes on Netflix!

Queen's Gambit [Limited Series, 7 Episodes]

This is a limited series that came out in 2020. I actually jumped on this show while my mom and sister were watching it. It was so good, that I decided to continue on in the series without watching the first episode! Then afterwards, I rewatched the first episode. This show is another limited series that was made to perfection.

It follows Beth, who is a young girl who studies chess and learns to become one of the best. It's a unique road for her to take, considering she's a women in the 1940's-1950's. There were no women playing chess at that time. Not only was she a woman, but she was an incredibly talented chess player.

While it doesn't seem like this show would be very interesting, I promise you won't be disappointed if you give it a try! This is another Netflix original.

So these are all the shows I'm going to mention today! There is so much good television, that I could keep the list going on forever. I didn't want to overwhelm you all, and kept it at 5. Now tell me, what tv shows should I check out? Let me know in the comments down below! If you haven't checked out my first post sharing some tv shows, you can check it out here!

As always, thank you for reading. Sending you love, strength, and positivity. Hoping you have a wonderful weekend!
