Fridaze 020

Happy Friday, I'm proud to say that I've kept to my blogging schedule, and have posted twice this week! If you haven't read it yet, I chat about my thoughts on the Papier Hardcover Bullet Journal. I can't believe it's the end up January already. I know a lot of people have had a tough start to the year, but I've honestly had a great month! I think I mentioned this last week, but for the first time in a while I just feel hopeful for the future. Let's get into my Fridaze!

Dungeons & Dragons

After months of not playing, my second D&D group started a session. It was so great to see everyone, and get back into the groove of things. Since it was so long since we've last played, we decided to start a new campaign! My sister is creating a homebrew and I'm so excited to see where she decides to take us.

If you're into roleplaying games, and also like board games, I suggest you try to create a D&D group yourself. It's honestly so much fun. One of the highlights of my week for sure.

Gamer J

J travels a lot for work. He was gone all week, and even though we spent a lot of time facetiming and talking on the phone, it's definitely not close to being the same. He came back this past Friday! I was so excited. I picked him up from the airport, and surprised him with some flowers (I know, I'm such a cornball), and a pack of one of his favorite beers! He was so surprised, he definitely wasn't expecting it at all.

Reunited with Jamie!

I haven't seen Jamie since the fall, so it's been quite a while. We met up at a restaurant for dinner, exchanged gifts, caught up, and then went to this bar around the corner from the restaurant. It's always a good time when I'm out with Jamie! I miss her so much, and with our busy schedules it's so hard to find the time to fit each other in. I think it makes me appreciate the time we get to spend together even more.

Devil's game

Back in November, Prudential (the arena close to my house) decided to have a sale on Devil's hockey tickets. While I don't really follow hockey that heavily, I really enjoy going to the games! I ended up buying the tickets for two different games. One to go with Amanda & David, and one to go with Jamie later into the hockey season.

I had so much fun! I know I always have fun when I'm with Amanda, but still.

Lots of Pokémon

I honestly haven't gotten into a Pokémon game in a very long time. I wasn't even expecting to buy another Pokémon game (I haven't even finished Pokémon Shield yet!). Well, when I was at Amanda's house two weeks ago, she was playing Pokémon, and telling me how much she's been loving it. Chatting with her made me want to buy the remake of Pokémon Pearl, so I did right then and there! I've been going in pretty hard playing, but I've been loving every second. Amanda, Gamer J, and me all have a version of the game, so I'm definitely trying to be the best Pokémon trainer out of the three of us!

I'll tell you right now, I really liked it! I'll make a full review eventually, but I definitely recommend it. I have found that I like most books written by Bridget Kemmer. Hope you're doing okay this winter xx

You know I never watched Stranger Things before, but whenever I mention to someone that I play D&D, a lot people said their interest has been piqued cause of Stranger things! If you're into role playing games of any kind, and you like playing games where there are quests and like side missions, I think you would love D&D! Thanks so much for reading and commenting 🙂 xx
