This book reminds me of a series I read last year called High Heels Mysteries by Gemma Halliday. A wanna-be fashion designer keeps stumbling upon different murder scenes and tries to solve the crimes with the help of her best friend, whether the police want her help or not. Of course, some romance is thrown in there. It's a light witty series that's a quick read (I read all 9 in about a week), and the e-books are usually free or a few dollars each. If you like the Azaela March series, you might want to check it out!
