I still love Kathleen Lights so much, when I watcher her videos it feels like she' s hanging out with her subscribers more than presenting products to us! I think influencers come and go for me but there's still the og creators I still love. and omg, thank you so much for including me in this post! I trust your recommendations too, and I love that I've been able to follow along on your blogging journey over the years x

Ah this is such an interesting post, Melina (and thank you so much for mentioning me ahh, I'm honored! <3 <3) I think that I tend to trust mostly influencers and people after a little while... once I've gotten to know a bit better through posts and conversations and comments and things like that 😀

I feel like anyone who posts on Instagram or on a larger scale, all social media platforms, can and are influencers, even if they only have fifty followers someone is hearing and listening to them. Their are influencers like Cleia that I trust inexplicably and then there are definitely others that while I like their content or photos, I don't trust what they are selling. You definitely have to do due diligence, but I also feel like that could be any ad on Facebook as well.
It is actually funny, because a lot of friends promote Tula and for the longest time I refused to try it because I thought it was a gimmick, but I actually love their products.

I'm a bit cautious of some influencers as there was a bit of bad press around them a few months ago, and like you said you can blatantly tell when someone has sold out on something as they'll just promote any old rubbish! However, having said that if I've gotten to know a blogger over time and what they promote fits in with their usual content I'd still be inclined to trust them. Great post, thank you for sharing!
